I meant for outdoor. But that is definitely getting remembered if I do indoor someday.
wouldn't use mirrors around a plant. given the mirror will concentrate light into direct spots instead of reflecting and diffusing, the light from the mirror would almost certainly burn the plant like a magnifying glass can be used in war against ants. however, an option that would work would be boards painted flat white. would still reflect plenty of light but also diffuse it so the light won't start an unintentional fire.Anybody ever use mirrors around the plant? Or is that always too much.
I just realized one of my dankest plants was on the north side of a pond. Catching some of that sunlight off the water.
So grow on the north side of a body of water if you can.
Did they test for thcv and thcp? I always wonder why my frostiest stuff is never the most potent.BTW, I was using UVB for years. In all that time I never noticed an increase in trich density, size or anything of the sort. Some buds were within 2 inches of the UVB source. Other buds were up to 3 feet away. I would have expected higher trich density on buds near the light if there was any truth to the notion. Nothing like that occurred.
Dr. Bruce Bugsby says they found no increase in potency with UVB. The original paper on UVB and cannabis potency did not examine trichs at all. The plants didn't even flower — it was the cannabinoid content of the leaves that increased.
2" from the UVB source with no burning? How long did you leave the UVB source on? I've got a T5 from California Lightworks and I think they recommend 2' from the canopy. My lamp is about 12" so I only put them on for 2 hrs. when the lights are on. Honestly I can't say for sure if there is a difference either.BTW, I was using UVB for years. That was another idea I had. A giant GIANT magnifying glass like 90 feet around. Suspended a few stories above the plants. But tuned just right to increase sunlight only by a reasonable percentage. But it would have to move itself east to west on a giant arched rail.wouldn't use mirrors around a plant. given the mirror will concentrate light into direct spots instead of reflecting and diffusing, the light from the mirror would almost certainly burn the plant like a magnifying glass can be used in war against ants. however, an option that would work would be boards painted flat white. would still reflect plenty of light but also diffuse it so the light won't start an unintentional fire.
I have the paper somewhere on my computer. I'll check what they did again, but I doubt it. This paper is several decades old. I'm sure they were using some crap they grow in that infamous government farm in Mississippi.Did they test for thcv and thcp? I always wonder why my frostiest stuff is never the most potent.
What lights did you use? If you use the right ones, you cant put them 2 inches away. Will burn those leaves right up.BTW, I was using UVB for years. On the contrary — I WAS using the right ones. What lights did you use? If you use the right ones, you cant put them 2 inches away. Will burn those leaves right up.
