I was looking at trichomes on my Mint Jelly plant and there are bulbous things that look like jelly beans on the buds, red, yellow, different colors. I found a couple groups of three or four. This is my second grow. Never seen anything like this. Part of the bud? Insect eggs? Any insight greatly appreciated.

Never great news but if you're only seeing them with loupes you've probably caught it early enough before they do damage. I thought I'd have an easy grow through winter with less bugs out but critters have turned out to be far worse. Last week a rat got into the greenhouse and chomped on several lower branches. So I got it with a snap trap and started putting them on chairs on the back porch at night and two nights ago something very large went at one plant like a buzz saw. There was a pile of chewed branches on the ground below the chair. So now I'm bringing them inside at night and I will just have to listen to my wife complain about the smell.

Shiet, why waited so long to post a pic?
Some people here are very experienced and see disease and bugs miles away.

If you want to get rid of them in a safe way without chemicals.

I suggest Ladybugs. I've used them in the past. Just apply a hand full every other day for a week and then they will have had enough time to reproduce themselves and sustain the army.

I used 2k of them last year for my outdoor plants. These little beetles will eat up to 50 aphids per night.

Good luck!
