And the white on the leaves is a wash of diatomaceous earth and dawn dish soap, just in case I had some kind of bugs that was creating this issue. I've used this same process on other groups with no issues so I can't imagine that's what's causing the issue.

I have the same thing outdoors and I looked at the leaves under a magnifying glass. The white is/are tiny tricomes. I have a calmag issue on issue, same plant.

This plant is a clone of Gushers from a dispensary.

I'd rinse off that dust you put on it first.

Thanks for getting back to me the reason I don't think it's a calmag issue is because the spots on mine don't have the yellow ring around any of the rusty looking parts... and I fed calmag once I noticed the spots but did not help could it be a toxicity issue not a deficiency issue??

First off, you don't have a cal-mag issue unless your bottle of cal-mag is empty. Cal-mag addresses 2 potential deficiencies, Calcium and Magnesium. I say this because its a common mistake trying to lump the 2 together. Excess calcium will lockout magnesium, but magnesium rarely intereferes with calcium uptake. So frequently, a grower will use cal-mag in veg and create their own magnesium lockout issue because calcium tends to be absorbed by your grow medium. So for starters, lets address the issue you have and not confuse them for something you don't have. You don't have a calcium deficiency and you show zero signs of a magnesium issue.

What I see is a lower leaf that has turned because its micro-climate isn't exactly right. It appears more "one off" like the plant is trying to shed that leaf so dumping a bunch of chemicals on your plant hoping you "guessed" the issue will not correct the situation at all. In fact, without seeing more effected leaves, I would remove that 1 leaf in question and move on. It's impossible to go through a complete grow and not have at least a few leaves turn and then be shed from the plant.

I'd like to suggest another approach. This goes back to how you described your original issue,"possible cal-mag issue." There's no such thing. Cal-mag contains 2 different minerals that compete with each other for uptake.

Your plant doesn't look sick. You're over-reacting to something that is rather normal. Like @Galgrows suggested, remove the DE + dawn dish detergent from the plant. Once its in flower, you won't be able to wash it off without potentially damaging the plant. Then look carefully at your watering routine because what you're experiencing looks more to me like a plant that has habitually been slightly over-watered. Cannabis wants significant dry-back prior to being watered again. Your plant looks like its being watered on a schedule of convenience determined by you and not by your plant. Let your plant tell you when its thirsty. Don't force feed it because you think it might need water.

Lastly, in soil especially, the over-use of calcium (cal-mag) supplement can and usually does represent itself as magnesium lockout during flowering. The soil gets so full of calcium from the steady feedings it receives during veg when a vegging cannabis plant rarely has a calcium issue ... its much more likely to suffer from a lack of magnesium. My way around the issue you're experiencing means DON'T USE Cal-Mag in veg to treat a magnesium issue. Instead, feed your plants epsom salts at a rate of 1 teaspoon per gallon during veg. Switch to cal-mag around the 2nd to 3rd week of 12/12, or if you're growing autos ... when the plant starts budding up and stretching. By minimizing your use of calcium to correct a magnesium issue, you don't have the risk of toxifying your soil.

How do we improve your plant? Clean it up for starters. Then stop with cal-mag until after you switch to flowering. Start using epsom salts with your feed routine. It may already be too late to make quick corrections due to the amount of calcium potentially already absorbed by your soil mix but a change in the routine to provide far less calcium should help your plant make the adjustment going foward. Start cal-mag about a week before your plant's calcium needs begin to go through the roof ... you'll recognize that by the beginning of stretch. Lastly, along with the high demand for calcium during stretch ... there's also a high demand for K as your plant matures so look to boost potassium if your plants show signs of potassium deficiencies.

At any rate, I don't see huge problems with your grow. What I do see is a newer grower making mistakes of inexperience with the best of intentions in mind. You're close to where you need to be so don't think of this as me being overly critical because you're actually not doing a bad job. You're simply trying to apply the pieces of the puzzle and a bit more experience will help you make those puzzle pieces fit a bit better for you.

You definitely helped me see some things a bit more clearly I am a new grower again I grew 25 years ago and coming back into it and growing organically it's proving to be more difficult then anticipated

Very good information about the water/over water levels. I have been successful in my current soil and plants. It's most likely due to having not enough roots through the rock wool that the clone was in when transplanted. I have another that I transplanted into the same soil (in my bags, just moved over), and it has taken off as expected. It was my "fault" of the water issues.
