Here is the first set of pictures again with a better less noticeable watermark. Sorry if the first watermark was too distracting, still new to photoshop and adding watermarks.
I tried to change my original post but didn't know how, sorry for the repeat shots.

he isnt using any scope bro...
pictures like this require a dSLR and a decent 1:1 macro lens... not cheap.

nice pictures, that shit is FROSTY.
try to work on your composition...
and those watermarks are annoying....
i figure if someone is gonna steal my art i take it as a complement. most just want a nice background, if they end making $$$$ off it im gonna know about it and will then do something about it.
or just put the text in a lower corner and shorten it up... u'd be surprised how many people will take it and wont crop it.

Hey Goba-

I may step into the SLR world. I was checking out some of the macro photography and their setups. What camera are you using? Are you using any artificial lighting?

What lens was used on this photo?

i may be wrong but i believe its the same lens. its just one is a 100% crop... unless he has an mpe65. the 100% crop wont look printed out fyi, it becomes a really low res file when you crop way in like that.

Thanks everyone, no its not macros from a scope. aleYarok is right I'm using a canon 50d, lighting used was the Canon MT-24EX perfect for macro. All these photos were shot using the 65mm MP-E Macro lens. Its a great lens but pricey, at $1000 retail so i rented it from my local camera shop for the weekend. Cost me under $30. Usually i shoot with a 60mm macro lens.
Hope this helps, if you have anymore questions ent feel free to ask. Im far from an expert but will share any information that I have.

Here is one of my first refraction shots. Its not photoshopped, besides cropping the image and adding the watermark. Wanted to try and refract something that represented the Colorado Growers, so what better than the flag. I wanted to thank Dr Know, Green Machine, Monkey, Bubbleman, and l33t for all the inspiration.

soo sick!! keep it up!
ive been wanting to try that but cant get close enough with my measly 1:1 macro + extension tubes
is that image cropped at all or just compressed? would love to see the original in all its glory, so i can see what the mpe is capable of. just might make me switch to canon for it
