So basically it's too soon to tell. Just wondered if anyone had an idea based on visible characteristics..yes I am a first time grower and a female. Help a sister out..we all have to learn first starting out.

Welcome to the forum! The only way to tell sex aside from what you know now are lab tests; you can send leaf samples in, but thats a bit excessive. time will tell in your case! It's very difficult to sex them at that age. Once they start to flower you will find out. Here are some pics... good luck any other issues reach out. I haven't been at it as long,as some on this forum but am willing to help you get started.So basically it's too soon to tell. Just wondered if anyone had an idea based on visible characteristics..yes I am a first time grower and a female. Help a sister out..we all have to learn first starting out.

It's the plants with the anatomy of a "Ken Doll" at the nodes, i.e. void of any indication at all male or female, that I see usually wind up being a male.
Sometimes they're really easy to clear as females with "double thorns" on each side of a node instead of one. But watch out for fat calyxes, first time I ever saw one of those I almost chopped it thinking it was a male. If it's fat, teardrop shaped is female and ball shaped is male.
