See we are talking about a simple comparison with they eyes. When I sexed my first plant I had a working brain, so I didn't even consider asking someone else. TBH I googled "marijuana" 15 years before I grew and before I even smoked a plant. It had a pic of a male plant which I saw when I was as 16. I was already interested in weed back then 24 years ago. It just blows my mind that people dont do the slightest bit of research.
Considering we have the biggest brain on the planet it didn't take long for me to use my eyes and powers of deduction 15 years later to figure out that one plant was different than the others. And if I wanted to I could have just typed in "male weed" and then used my eyes to compare, but i didn't even need to do that.
I'm just seriously worried that people have lost the ability to look at a picture and use their eyes to spot a basic pattern. It's more about everyone's insane self doubt these days.
No-one trusts themselves to make an incredibly simple decision, and that is worrying with all the info out there.
I'll do everyone a favour. Type "marijuana" into google before growing a plant and do five minutes worth of reading and these questions are completely moot.
Again, you’re on a discussion forum writing novels about people asking question. Use your own advice and Google why people ask questionsSee we are talking about a simple comparison with they eyes. Appreciate your appreciation for the post,That's what I liked about it becoming legal. I'd never got to see all the transitions the plant goes thru at various times of the year, till now.
Still stunned at how much they can grow, every day.
No disrespect to the OP...I understand your concerns.
But this seems to be a generation problem. Beyond Gen X, mommy n daddy did everything for their kids. So they never developed the ability to do for themselves...only thinking was ...they deserve everything given to them/ done for them.
I'm Gen X, my research into cannabis was more about soil/dirt. I read articles and watched videos on all aspects, and filtered out all the bullshit to find the most common things spoken about in all of them, and how to use/adapt them for better grows. ( Just the facts, Ma'am )
Then researching different cultivars that will do good in my geographic location, and any specific needs for them. I spent a few months just on that, alone.
Spent last summer remapping my yard to the sun to better utilize my space, plus average height of the plants that will be occuping it, and where to be placed so they don't shadow each other.
And still learning.... Good thing. If not, it'd be boring.
Today u have world knowledge at your finger tips...utilize it.!!!
I'm about as computer illiterate as they come. Really .!!! But I know how to do shit myself....that's how we grew up... Ferrell, barefooted, covered in dirt n blood, and on our own till the street lights came on.
Damn...I sound like my grandpa
Kid..u don't no what hard is. We had to walk 5 miles to school...up hill, both ways , thru 4' of snow
Yeah I get that it’s repetitive for longtime members, but every grower asking those questions is doing it for the first time. That’s why communities exist. The biggest issue in my eyes are the constant super basic questions over and over by new members at what seems like a daily basis. Its not hard to do a little reading beforehand! We have been through this conversation already a few times. Some new, young growers just want all the answers immediately and want pounds under a 100 watt light.....rambling off topic..........perhaps it would have been best to just skip past without adding his comment, I could have done the same!

If I posted in the wrong section my apologies but it says BASIC information, otherwise just scroll past because ppl wanting to flex their opinions about new members is a lot more disgusting than the same questions getting asked repeatedly. This is a damn weed community chill out and be more welcoming. If you don’t like the topic you literally can scroll by, yall know how to do that right? Again thanks to anyone who helped
OH NO! you going to pluck thatOkay, I'm still having trouble telling one from another. If there's no hair and no stem, but it looks like tiny leaves, what is it? I'll have to get a pic to show ya.

OH NO! you going to pluck thatsac at node 6. OUCH!
Ok cool info thanks, my plants, maybeSome plants throw those lobster claws. Well they all do but some just make barely visible little bumps and if there's stress or it's a prioritized node it'll throw the claw out to protect it. They're just stipules. If thats all you see, you gotta wait. They typically don't show until the nodes start growing offset and even then if the plant is stressed or in a small pot it could still take a little longer. The lobster claws are like an emergency backup. If the branch experiences trauma, a new branch can grow from the stipule.
And yet u still can't get it. I did all this by doing my own work, by researching it myself. A lot of it, well before computers or Internet, now we have A.I.Appreciate your appreciation for the post,
Appreciate the yard-mapping dedication, but this thread was about a plant, not the decline of modern society.
You spent months researching and learning…which is great. Asking questions and comparing observations is part of that same process…………………..
