how would the net restrict you from watering?
watering is done below the net no?

I am in coco and I have an automated feed/drip system

she gets fed 6x a day right now
1 minute feed times

my plants sit in a trough that sits about 12' above the ground and there is a basin underneath
I have a pump that pumps the runoff to the outside garden when it fills and triggers the float valve

I am actually in the beginning stages of designing a new grow box on wheels that has an external shelf below the grow area that will house 2 bins......The res and the catch bin
the grow box will look like a cabinet on wheels with a lower shelf
I am going to seal the cabinet up tightly and build in a passive intake with hepa filter

this box I grow in now is a few years old and I have found all the flaws and worked all the kinks out for the final box
I will then rebuild this box and use it for breeding
My grow area will soon be just a bunch of wooden cabinets along a wall...finished and painted to blend in
don't need to be stealthy as I am in a legal state....just tucked and out of the way
and FULLY AUTOMATED.......is the recipe for success

you really need to get yourself automated

it is extremely easy

even easier if you are growing organic or soil with no nutrients
in any case you would set up a 25gal tote outside the tent
get yourself a pump and some drip lines and a timer
if you are in soil just put some saucers under your plants
and with soil you don't need runoff to much...unless you are using nutrients...in which case you can run an enzyme to break down salts so you really don't need to water till runoff...maybe just a dribble...which will evaporate

the way I set up my catch basin is when ever it filled up...I would just get a bucket and a pump with hose and drop the pump into the basin and fill up the bucket

but I now have it on an electronic float valve so when it hits a point it kicks on the pump and it pumps the fill outside into the flower bed

sounds like you need some help
especially on crutches

Well said. That's how I try to live my life. I wish more people could understand it. I guess some people are analytical and some people are emotional

for soil .....as it dries oxygen fills in
when we are using something like coco or RW where it is constantly wet
you want the runoff to push out spent and builtup nutes and replenish O2
but not so with soil

the reason i am asking you these questions is i have a feeling that we could prob give you some advice on a watering system for your coco, dtw, that would prob give you 2x the growth in veg that you just had. more watering's a day means quicker hydro growth.

It's a detached "shed" 10x10 aluminum stud frame insulated and mostly wrapped with panda film. The pics are from different times and to show different angles, shelves what not.
As far as nutes I am using Advanced Nutrients ph perfect Coco. Hobbyist bundle plus some extras. Have been happy with it mostly once I figured it out

Hahah. Yup. I have a 12000 but ac hooked up also great for exhausting air. I have i power 1000w mh/hps. Wing reflector. Temps stay what I want them with the ac I keep the light about 20" away. Temps never go past 80. Surface temp with gun is 65-72 pic with homer buckets is when I first built and was seeing how hot it would get. Now in 3x3 tray and I want to run 2 eventually

you got a good setup there! We can do something with that!
2 things...
1. you should make a clone mom area where you have the shelf.. You could use foam board to make it,, couple hinges and a tube of liquid nail for a door.
2. all u need for the dtw, is some 2x4 to build a lil table to hold 2 of your trays... you make the table high enough that you can fit a low profile tote under it.
You take another tote and put it off to the side... You buy a pump $15, a timer $10, and manifold... Some tubing and floracaps...
U put the pump in the 2nd tote and hook it to a timer, when it turns on it pumps water thru the hose to the manifold, thru each drip line to the floracaps of each plant, what run off comes out bottom of pot runs down in the tray thru a hole we will make, down into the bottom tote under the table you built. Each week you will dump that one... Simple as cooking rice!

Ya bro that sounds exactly what I want. Just hadn't mapped it out in glad you can help. Lol. Ya if you see the 2 shelves in back I was planning on taking the lower one out to leave it open for veg/mom. So you're saying foam board will keep the light out if I'm flowering in the main area? I guess I can wrap that in panda as well.

I use a lil pump from crappy tire....or a wet/dry vac to remove the runoff when using a net....i just pump it out into milk jugs then dump it in the veggie garden
