I'm having trouble deciding which light to lean towards. I a. Curious if anyone has grown with the maxsisun pb1500 before, I've read about the ts1000 but not much other than the reviews on amazon for the maxsisun.
The Mars has a better ppfd than the maxsisun. What are some other comparison factors I need to look at that will benefit my grow and yield?
Here is what my two Mars Hydro TS1000 have produced in just 5 weeks from seed, I have no experience with the other one though but I doubt you would be disappointed with the TS1000
FWIW, you might ought to compare the Maxisun BP1500 to the Mars since they are both dimmable. Don't know why Maxi has both a BP1500 and a PB1500 - very confusing. I think it's about a wash. The TS1000 would be a bit easier to dim and daisy chain if that's a consideration. I like that Maxi is using Samsung LEDs, but neither are using Meanwell drivers. The Mars looks to have a slightly higher efficiency.
Don't know anything about Maxi as a company in terms of how long they have been around, reputation, or dependability. Maybe someone with Maxis will chime in. Good luck.
How does the viper spectra grow compared to the ts1000? I noticed the vioerspectra is 1027 ppft in the center and the ts1000 is 1300 in the center of the light at 12".
The ts 1000 on one the websites that measure intensity est says it can produce 5.5oz to 6.5
And the viper is 6.5 to 7.5 oz
I have a maxsisun pb2000, nice bright light but it has no dimmer. I just purchased a viparspectra p2500;samsung leds, meanwell driver and ir spectrum all for $219. It was between the spider farms, mars hydro and the viperspectra.
What genetics did the best for you under the viper? I'm planning to grow autoflowers under it, and start photoperiods under it to transplant in the spring outside.
