The more I check out winter growing the more I`m convinced I I should have double wall plastic and some kind of insulation around the beds. It would keep the propane heater bill down a lot. I could put up bubble insulation on the under side of the plastic as a solution for winter. I could also make the ends with bails of hay for winter. This would also cut the propane heater bill. It wouldn`t allow as much light because the ends on mine are east /west . When I move this setu p onto my property I`l keep that in mind. Hoping to be able to have my greenhouses at least halfway under the ground anyway.

The weather report shows thunderstorms in the area for the next few days! I need to get tools put away just in case. I really don`t want to see rain right now until I can steak up the plants but it would be better than dry lightning in the area starting a fire!!! If I was prepared I`d welcome any moister as it`s so dusty and dry here. I may put off my trip to town until tomorrow. I have a DR. appointment then anyway.

No, thats my point:p .why are you talking about your sons life in 2nd person ?

what you said b4 lead to sungrown saying your son should get a pay cut which is serious real talk . Makes me feel awkward and uncomfortable seeing guys especially father and son combo's cut each other down over money and girls and plants and not being able to talk about what they did or said to each other the next day because they have other new work to do .

I really don`t have much time for a relation ship right now, but yep been awhile since my ex passed away, was married for almost 10 years. Not sure I`d want to be married again ,GF would be nice though!

My son went on a date and decided he won`t be back until tomorrow morning/afternoon some time. Now I will have to water again in the morning along with getting two loads of water and maybe staining the lumber? This is the kind of stuff that happens when a woman comes into the picture. I do want him to be happy though! Maybe if this works out well for him he won`t be out dating all the time and I`ll get more work out of him? Or even better I`ll get a second worker? LOL! Hope she knows how to trim good!

If he can't put the females on the back burner then maybe his perentage should go down accordingly.

He is family so maybe hard to do that. But this shit ain't a fuckin game. Yeah, tell them their dates need to consist of helping you on the land! Screw going to town!

Like I said maybe you should look for attention in some other tread. I`ve already been asked if I wanted your posts to be deleted and told you are on the mods radar because of what ever you been up to in other threads on the Farm. You could end up banned from the Farm because we don`t put up with a bunch of drama here! I`m not interested in your questions and will ignore them. If you become a problem I will ask to have any posts on this thread deleted, it`s not up to me if they decide to ban or suspend you . Take this as my only warning!

We got dark on us and it`s lightly raining now. thunder storms to night through tomorrow. I got about 1/3 of the plants tied up. Hope it stays a light rain! I also got some ferts on the beds so this will wash it in and keep the soil moist for a little while anyway. The water tans are full and all the tools. pumps , etc. put away. I just hope it doesn`t pour or have hail or wind . I need to order and get the plastic up ASAP! So much behind on projects!

It`s 3am and rain is coming down harder now, It`s a little to late to go out and try to tie the other 2./3`s of the plants, I can only hope they will be ok. The roof leeks around the sky light in the motorhome and nether of the two heaters are working. So much for `everything works`! Thinking I`ll have to have someone come look at the heaters and I`ll try to fix the roof. Also think I`ll take the guy I got the motorhome from to court. Good thing I found out before winter hit! More set backs! Good thing is the water shortage will be over ...for now !

I wouldn't sue, Mark. That will just add to your stress level and likely go no where anyway. Unless exigent circumstances were at play it will likely be seen as an "as is" purchase that you had time to research.

I am not against ya bro, but my advice is to let it go, tarp the roof and get yourself a better heater for the rv anyway. When I use my fifth wheel I run a small propane heater that is way more efficient than the one installed by the manufacturer. The installed ones use an ass ton of propane and run constantly when it is cold.

Just my advice based on my experience with things.

Just got back from the DR. All of my organs are in good shape , my blood pressure, blood fat, and Ac 1 is good. He is not going to monitor anything but my blood sugar anymore. I lost an other 20 lbs. and only have 8 more lbs. to lose to reach my goal. He told me that this is the first time he has thought I might be able to get the full use of my foot back. It will take time however. Said to keep doing what ever I`m doing, that it is working.

I got everything on my list done again on this trip. It has cooled down with light rain and it`s been awhile sense it hasn`t been dusty and worm. I have a friend of my son`s coming tomorrow to get some extra work done. My trailer has had new siding put on but the truck he was going to use to move it up here with has the brakes out. I may rent a truck if he pays for fuel just to get it here. Expecting a call from my Texas friend tonight. Things are looking up !

Hello another Cali grower here! Sounds/looks like you have been doing some exciting things. Your weather the last few days have been the same as mine. Thank goodness for the cooler weather. I know it has cooled my room down a lot! Good luck man

Yep the rain came and went . we got almost an inch total and had 4-5 broken branches out of it. It won`t stay cool long and water remains a big concern.

I also need to fix my RV roof, get the plastic up on the greenhouse and get the office trailer moved up and ready to use among other things. The supports are done , moved some stuff into the shed, Moved my son`s car and stacked up the wood next to the motorhome. I got the solar panels put together and one is connected the engine battery of the motorhome. I still need to connect up the other one to the shore batteries and connect up the inverter inside for the stereo ,TV and blue ray player.

One of the smaller water tanks got drained by accident when the pump was being put away because of the rain so I need to get an other load of water in the morning and will check out the level of the creek. I have about 1/3 of the plants tied up and stakes made for the rest and ready to tie them up.

Giving up on the Sea of Green because they just got to big on me before I could get to it. It`s going to make it hard to trim again but thinking of getting a Mean Green Trimming Machine. It`s a dry trimmer. It wont do a finished job but will cut the work down a lot. I`ll use the other trimmer on the stocks and hang them in the office trailer until dry. Then take them off the bone and run them through the dry trimmer before going over them by hand. The office trailer will be dedicated to flower processing and if I have a wood stove I should be able to work on it even on rainy cold days in Winter. I can even jar cure the flowers before putting them in the seller for storage.

My seller is a hole in a bank of a hill lined with logs on the ceiling and wall and has large flat stones for the floor. I`ve got an old walk-in freezer door set up on the entry way with a lock that keeps the bear out and it`s concealed by brush. I need to build a few more shelf's in it but it works very well.

Going to be taking pictures and posting them of the progress of the greenhouses as soon as I get a little cleanup done for the pictures.

I`m looking forward to having the cleanup done so taking pictures is a good excuse to stop other work and do the cleanup end of things! Really need to do a bunch of cleaning all over the camp and even in the RV`s. Not only is it dusty but I spend so much time on projects and don`t get things cleaned up well enough in between. It`s not that there are so many things to get done , it`s that more gets started before much gets done on anything. It helped a lot to have my son and his friend work for just one day, got more done that one day than I get to in a week. Makes me feel old seeing them so energetic !

Dam rats are chewing down my pepper plants for nesting materials ! I killed 4 yesterday, most are small like a large mouse, but one was twice the size of a softball. The woods are full of them! I`d like to let my cats out of the RV but their are so many large birds of prey around. Wish they`d eat more rats! I can`t keep rat traps empty and they keep coming!

Plants are looking good for the most part. there are a few smaller ones and the upper ones(SFV) are growing smaller than the rest. Only maybe 5-6 weeks left of veg and most will be to large for the enclosure size. I need to put the blue dream x X in some larger tubs. still looking at plastic. Can`t decide between woven triple weave and 6 mil . If I go with triple weave I won`t be able to double them up with air flow between for Winter, but it seems so much more durable. It would cost more to heat the greenhouses if not doubled .I still need to buy storm doors vents and fans and build ends on them before I decide anyway. Also heaters will be so dam expensive and I`m not sure how well they would work in the snow. Would be nice to have a second crop going this Winter and if I was to get light derivation and lights I could do three crops a year easy! All with staying within my local land use laws of 99 with only 66 in flower!
