Alright I made a dumb mistake....I only left my light on 13.5 hours a day my whole veg grow for 6 weeks....as I'm switching my timer I realized it was only the 13.5hours...I'm switching it to flower and planning on dropping it to 12 hours...my plants haven't flowered yet but I did noticed about a week ago it looked like I guess you will call it prebuds...where whole bunch of string looking strans were forming no actual buds though....the timer is set the plant will be in dark about 16 hours so it can fit my schedule I want the lights running and will start the flowering tonight think it will be OK? Is 13.5 hours enough to keep the plant in veg or is it already in flower mode I can post pictures when the light turns on tonight if needed....thanks for reading and any help would be appreciated

We need some pictures

My gut says you're probably fine with the shorter light cycle in Veg, you just suffered a setback in growth but its hard to say anything without seeing the plants in question.

Pretty much by your description. Post pictures in normal light and not under grow lights. It takes at least 14 hours of strong light to keep most strains from flowering.

Ok I will post pictures tonight when the plants wake up...now that I think about it I did have to pull 1 plant out of the 5 for turning into a male...only one showed signs of male but that was 3 weeks ago. Which I thought was weird cause I never had one shoe sex that early before..About last week i noticed it had lil strans looking like the beginning of the buds was forming but no actual buds yet my light is a good light so it's strong light....but I will post pictures in a couple hours I'm switching the light on a lil late today so the plant will be in dark a extra 4 hours cause my schedule is changing so I needed to adjust the plant schedule so I would still be able to care for it was just waiting till I turned to flower light schedule also should I just keep it on 12 hours which is only 30 min less then what I had it on before or should I lower it to 10 or 11 hours during the actual flower stage I will post pictures when they wake up though thanks

If they’re photos you can possibly increase light hours gradually and hope they don’t reveg or worse turn hermie or pop nanners.

Heat stress or light to close? Early stage I was having heat issues but the last 3 weeks it's been under 80°

Heat stress. Leaf edges up is the classic sign. Use an IR thermometer to shoot the actual leaf surface temperature. Maybe light is too close or like only one in my tent right now showing heat stress. Directly under the light.

Any flowers showing? If not I would keep it in veg another week to let it get through the stress then switch it back to 12's...2 weeks into flower is almost half way so I'd imagine it's has flowers showing if so just switch it to 12s maybe it will have seeds and take a quality hit but the grow shouldn't be completely ruined just a quality hit in my opinion we learn by mistakes good luck
