Thank you for that never thought about searching it was just gunna stop by town hall (small town it’s not far haha) but it appears chlorine is the answerMost areas publish a water analysis every year. Google the name of your town/city + "water report" and you should find it easily.
Happy to help.Thank you for that never thought about searching it was just gunna stop by town hall (small town it’s not far haha) but it appears chlorine is the answer
Nice yard. Finally a chill out day plants all doing their own thing, guess it’s just time for a beer with the wife and hang out in the front porch waiting for the rain to come
Thanks man, it’s garden is growing like crazy too, no ferts or neuts just straight water on the compostNice yard.
Pretty sure it was a dead piece of leaf. Luckily I cut this little piece of bud off so whatever it is is no longer in the tent lol, I’ll look again at the pieceWhat is the moth looking thing in the middle, third of the way up, bottom pic? Odd ambers coming along.
Lookin good so far bro!!Hello all! My first grow has just begun and I feel I should document it, even if only for myself for future reference.
Any and all input appreciated, any questions about anything I’m doing feel free to ask, always glad to hear how other do something if it works for them!
seeds put into cup of water on 4/14 5 seeds total, 2x Afghan kush and 3x candy kush. All Feminized auto flower from growers choice seeds
just had my gorilla glue auto flower seeds arrive so 1 was put into water 4/21 popped and put into wet paper towel 4/22 and will be planted into soil 4/24 (this will be placed in a 2 gallon plastic container (just to compare which I like better the fabric or hard plastic, plus the 2 gallon or 5 gallon containers
medium: fox farms happy frog (100%)
Light: KingLED 1500w
Grow box: ghetto as hell homemade grow box 60”L x 38”W made out of old 4x4’s wrapped with black contractor bags, interior lined with Mylar space blankets from light level down, 80” total height to work with, brought the floor up to approx 36” above floor level, light hanging down from ceiling to within 28” of seedlings
Water: Spring water so far
Containers: 5 gallon fabric pots
Air flow: so far only 2x 6” fans hanging at light level blowing down on seedlings
Exhaust: None as of yet , spider farmer 4” in-line ducting kit wit carbon filter and automatic humidity/temp controller in route will be installed once delivered
Random details: grow box is located inside a basement bedroom that I sleep in on midnight shifts, little bit of light leakage does not bother me nor does the minimal soil smell (which I suspect the carbon filter will take care of once it arrives and I install it)
current temps: 74-76 night 79-82 day
RH: 55-64 night 30-34 day
besides that any questions/concerns you feel are important feel free to ask I love constructive criticism, I feel I am very low tech compared to most of the grows I’ve seen so far, in the future we will be building a stealth room in the 6’x6’ range that will be unnoticeable to guests even if they where standing right next to it, previous experiences was 17 years as a general contractor so to start my grow box is rag tag is beyond the truth but I threw it together with materials that where around the house besides the light
anything I’ve missed please feel free to ask!
enough jabbering here’s the stars of the show
Not too much concern with the light leaks, I can only see them at night and lights are only off from 11pm till 4am so no light outside the tent to leak in (also these are all autos) I believe 2 of them are on their last week, smacked a tester last night with the wife and we were really liking it, trichs are mostly cloudy with some random ambers showing up , got some mini hydrometers, some 2 way humidity packs (I have plenty of mason jars for our food I grow) and also picked up some grove bags I’ll try both side by side and see which I like more it’ll be a real noob test since I’ve never cured my own buds beforeLookin good so far bro!!
You should buy Jorge Cervantes grow bible %100 life saver in so many ways. Obviously u want to encourage root growth and still see results in growth. Higher humidity more blue in the light wich keeps internodes stacked tightly, and a little red wich encourages root growth. And a heating pad underneath wich causes roots to look 4 the heat. And your fans? Are they oscillating?
You do not want direct and constant wind on the same area.
Also u said you have little light leaks ?
If you can see light that means when your tent lights go off that exterior light is leaking in. Wich will/can cause hermaphrodite and or seeds.
Feel free to hmu with questions or concerns
That’s kinda what I was thinking but being my first grow I wasent sure, this is plant 1 out of 6 other 5 still have some time to go just starting to get some random cloudy trichs, but that’s fine for me to have it spread out over some time. Got my Amazon delivery today too for after drying, also have grove bags coming so I can try bothYou sir are a day or 3 away from harvest
I know you'll be an eager beaver but dnt rush the process and try to cure it. %50ish is desirableThat’s kinda what I was thinking but being my first grow I wasent sure, this is plant 1 out of 6 other 5 still have some time to go just starting to get some random cloudy trichs, but that’s fine for me to have it spread out over some time. Got my dry tent set up as well best environment I can do in my home about 64f at night and around 70 in the day RH has stayed steady at 49%, (this is all with nothing in the box yet fox so I’ll assume humidity will rise once some buds are hanging) have a spiderfarmer 4” exhaust that I’ll probably set to 10% speed and monitor humidity and temp from that point this box served me well as my sprout box and early veg box before I got my tent lol I kept it up just to dry in
