I have a 285 sqft grow that’s 1900 cuft with 2800 watts of quantum boards, a 70 pint dehumidifier and an 8 burner lp co2 generator. What’s size mini split do I need and what brand do you recommend. I would like to install myself. So a precharged line set would be nice. Thanks

Even with a precharged unit you still need to have the lines vac'd and in my case i had to remove freon out of the compressor. So if you don't have gauges and a decent pump and know what you are doing you still need to have someone come and double check everything. Also most warranties are voided on minisplits if you don't have someone licensed to install it. If you are worried about someone seeing your room(s) you can install and wire everything up and have them just mess with the outdoor unit and sweat the lines (always sweat the lines) and never come inside. Just make sure it's up to code and you install the service disconnect next to the outdoor unit or they might not touch it.

Brand doesnt matter too much depending on where you live. If it gets cold and snowy then you need to make sure you have something that will work in low ambient temp for the outdoor unit.

I was always told by a couple of people that what matters is that it is inverted and that it uses a samsung or a mitsu compressor. Avoid the others. Branding on the outside doesnt have much to do with it. I will say after having experience with carrier minis (not sure of the model off the top of my head) they were junk and I would avoid those. Nothing but problems in the 2 ton units (10 of them).

Find out how many btu's the quantams emit, add that to the numbers on the dehu and burner.i myself would always add a few thousand for hot days.12000 btu per ton of AC
