Well, after much deliberation (4+ months) on which genetics I want to grow next, I ended up with Mosca Negra C99 F1's
I am going to do a full organic soil grow by using LCs soil mix and blood/bone/kelp meal with an occasional tea here and there. 16-oz cups will be used for the first few weeks, then I will transplant them into 3-gallon smart pots. I am not going to start 12/12 just to select the females, I am going to let them veg 4 - 6 weeks, then I will switch.
Day 6 from sprouting
Room Temp: 69F in the morning, 76 at the end of the night.
Humidity: 69%
Watering: First watering yesterday (5 days)...gave them a 5ml of Liquid Karma to get the roots going.

I always start my 400MH 20 - 25 inches from the tops with great results, then I lower it to around 10 - 12 inches. I have a small fan blowing over them. The front two are Critical + (freebies) fems.
Day 14
Watering: As needed with spring water and a little bit of liquid karma. They seem to be soaking up a lot more water meaning the roots are developing fast.

One seedling looks like it's burned, but the new leaf growth is doing well. Pretty sure it'll make it unless I go in there and try and "fix" her. I'm going to transplant into my soil mix at the end of week 3 since veg phase is right around the corner.
Day 21 Temps: 68 in the morning, 78 at the end of the night @ 65% humidity. Watering: 1/4 well water, 3/4 distilled water.

Everything is running pretty smoothly...they took off once I transplanted. The root development is outstanding...they seem to love the organic soil + liquid karma.
I'm sticking to 1/4 well water and 3/4 distilled because my well water is well over 8+ph and the ppms are about 800. Outdoor plants absolutely love it, so why shouldn't my plants? Well, the soil outdoors is different than the soil I built, so I do not want to take any chances. After a little planning I decided to do this:
Cannabis (in soil) takes up nutrients in the 6.3 - 6.8 range as shown below:
http://invalid.com/2xsaE.gif
So wouldn't I want to lower the pH of my water to 6.0 and let the dolomite lime take it up slowly around 6.9 to get the best possible results? Might as well take advantage of it's buffering properties.
I do not want to add pH up/down to regulate my pH...so what I did instead was to mix about 1/4 well and 3/4 distilled...that brings down the pH to ~6.0 (using a manual tester), ppms around 150 -200ish.
I add liquid karma (2tbs p/gal) because plants just love it. I also started addeding unsulphored molasses (2TBSP p/gal)...nothing like adding carbs to the living soil...I'm pretty sure the bacteria love me for this.
Anyways, I just wanted to clarify a little...I'm just trying to give the ladies (hopefully) the best possible environment for them to grow.
Here is the type of molasses that I use: Brer Rabbit Unsulphured Molasses
Fat: 0%
Sodium: 1%
Potass: 6%
Carbs: 5%
Calcium: 6%
Iron: 8%
Mag: 8%
I hope yall find this post somewhat informative. :ying:
Day 28 Temps: 67 in the morning, 76 at the end of the night. Watering: 2tsp Liquid Karma & 2 TBSP molasses per gallon of water.

Great growth although two Cindy's seem to be very slowww at vegging. The two Critical + (front right and front left) are stinky...I'm gonna put add teh filter next week when I top them.
Nice job so far; you're doing your research, which can only make you better. I'm not familiar with the LC mix. I'm currently using Sunshine 4 and amending it with organics. MY super soil drops the pH, so I pH my water/nute mix to 7.2 and the runoff tests from 6.4-6.6. I bump it up a little in bloom, so that Phosphorous is more available. Not sure that helps, but my plants usually do well. I happen to be running Mosca's C99 also- two keeper phenos selected by a fellow farmer. I was given the advice to take preventive measures and keep a close eye on your plants for powdery mildew. This strain seems to attract it. Best of luck to ya! hope you get some great phenos!
Day 35 Temps: 64 in the morning, 78 at the end of the night. Watering: 2tsp Liquid Karma & 2 TBSP molasses per gallon of water.

I topped/fimmed them early this week...great growth and I can see some variation in phenos. Two are lanky, two are stout with large fan leaves, one has fat lettuce looking leaves that's very slow at vegging, and one is in between. No particular smell.
The two Critical + fems (bottom right and bottom left) are short and stout...the one on the left smells like cat shit
I plan on flowering in a couple more weeks...I'm going to take clones soon!
Here is one more picture:

Nice sized fan leaves

When they start to fill in the room, about week 5-6 of bud a slight spray every once in a while with a light green cure will go a long way to a powdery mildew free harvest. Love the liquid karma myself, a little silica also helps with the pm
These are easy to grow, but can get tall and branchy if you let them. I veg mine 25 days, and I would consider pinching with a 6 week veg. Side branches get heavy with golf ball size nuggets and I had to tie them up. Cut at 52 days (no later!) to enjoy the full effects.................
Day 42 Temps: 64 in the morning, 78 at the end of the night. Watering: 2tsp Liquid Karma & 2 TBSP molasses per gallon of water every 4 days.
4/7 C99's are female, 3 more to go! Vigorous growth has been going on this past week...alternating nodes are every where. I put in the HPS and flipped to 12/12 yesterday.
I'm taking clones later today, two from each including the Critical+ fems.
I took plenty of pictures before flipping on the orange.

C99 #7 (female): The stinkiest of the bunch...she has a very beautiful structure while staying short and stout with fat, deep green leaves:

c99 #1 (female): Short and stocky with not much odor yet:
http://invalid.com/XEZBk.jpg
c99 #9(no sex yet): This one has been growing funky since the beginning...very slow growth if any at all.
http://invalid.com/kZrSc.jpg
c99 #? (female): Shes lanky...I had to top AND tie her down...th

c99 (female): Another lanky one...did the same as above:
http://invalid.com/9jaRC.jpg
c99 (no sex): Short and stout, no particular smell:
http://invalid.com/K0qkM.jpg
Critical+ (female): Very deep green and bushy:

Critical+ (female): This is the one that smell like cat shit...it over powers the whole damn closet!

All 7/7 C99's turned out the be female...so now I have 9 plants (including the Critical+'s) with plenty of these:
http://invalid.com/CgSZR.jpg
I took cuts last week...I put them in rapid rooters with distilled water and liquid karma. They have not drooped since I got the cut and the internodes are still growing on these bad-girls.
I also spent about $12 to make this light-setup for the clones..which works perfectly:
http://invalid.com/zyxDy.jpg
It's a 55watt CFL with a $1 keyless and $1 pop-in box. ~3k lumens which is more than enough for these clones. I havent taken any other pictures of the ladies, but they're one week into flowering.
if you're using a well water of 800 ppm then i wouldn't even use dolomite. plus your ph is at 8. im pretty sure it will balance out when acidic soil meets base water with natural minerals in it.
Great Show!! I Popped JW AK47/C-99 and was very Impressed with How quick they were to show sex!! It was Like day 36 or 37..wow.I took my cuts though, when the plants were 56 days old..Waiting to make room..then Ill add Em into he Line-up..!
Week 2 Flowering
Temps: 62 in the morning, 72 at the end of the night.
Watering: 2tsp Liquid Karma & 2 TBSP molasses per gallon of water every 4 days.
Two C99's were culled because I found pollen sacks...other than that 5/7 fem's is still good. Not much else to say...here are a couple of pictures. I will post bud porn once I get decent sized buds.
