Not going to lie If it didn't rain so much and I could get an outdoor crop in Washington st i'd move there have family in Puyallup brother lives in Kirkland I was just up there last month love it but down here in So cal I can pretty much grow outdoor year round without much problem setup wise im in a perfect location law enforcement has more pressing issues than my outdoor but if it ever hits the fan i'll figure something out the pacific northwest will probably be it.

I moved out to Cali from Florida...shits rough out here very stressful at times. Power is expensive as shit. Rent is outta control unless you live in Perris Moreno Valley or hemet. But then you gotta worry about getting ripped in those areas including indoors. OG's are the only strains Cali wants. The weather is great especially along the coast. But yeah you gotta be running 15 lights plus to cover bills and electricity and make it worth it. Shit even Great OG's in so cal are only fetching 2800-3 tops. Clinics are super cheap! Your better of growing blue dream all day and getting 2 per light and letting it go for 22 a piece then growing pain in the ass Low yielding OG's. they are really cracking down hardcore on up north grows this year. The best scenario is a warehouse with 40-60 flowering lights. But you would have to buy the warehouse cause no one is renting to growers. There's no jobs out here bums everywhere too! 8 lights would get you by in Moreno Valley. You could pick up a house there for 12-1500 with a 2 car garage. If you pay for your power and stay under 100 plants you won't get messed with. My 15k with 5ton AC runs 2200 a month in power and I pay 2400 for rent. Shits stupid! Close too 15k a run in just those bills not including Nutes and other shit you need. I honestly don't know how many lights is safe to run here without getting looked at. 30 flower lights would be nice in a house! Lol

Petaluma is a nice town but its a little to expensive and a little to old school . A little further north and you would prob be happier. Petaluma is great but I think there are better options. Santa Rosa, cloverdale or even ukiah (if you don't mind the heat) are options. If you don't like people go further north and it get's beautiful quick. I'm more of a people person so I like to stick to the more urban areas. A little more risk but ill take it.

All the reasons above save one make Colorado at least as wise a choice. This one makes it BETTER; in Colorado, it's LEGAL. That really makes it clear for people.

Well, I see your point- and I'll raise you that perception is 9/10 of reality. Since a lot of people think it matters, it does. Does that change facts? No, and you're right about small amounts of legal weed not making much difference in those facts.

The other thing about Colorado that's undeniable is the quality of life here relative to that of Cali- but even then there are trade offs. It's tough to find fame and fortune here in the sticks.

Bottom line I guess, is that if you're going to ply your trade, do it somewhere you love.

9 plants a light...that's not that high imo. I've seen 4-6 plants of OG yield 2+ many times

the same folks that say OG yields low say the same about GSC. I find the opposite true.
Growers have a lot to do with a room, clones will exhibit many variables dependent on conditions and environs.

the finicky strains allow the grower to be showcased more than the clone, imo. On the other hand say a Blue Dream, really doesn't need much beyond timers...anyone yields with dream. GSc and harder to grow plants, different story.

I have never grown GSC don't trust any of the cuts people say they have. ALOT of duds going around in SoCal. 9 plants will do 2 a light if your environment is on point. I do 4 a light. I pull 1.7-1.8 on average if I did 6 per I'm sure I could hit 2 plus every time. OG just have to be trained and topped a lot along with super cropped and lollipoped when growing fewer per light. Blue dream on the other hand can be grown at 2 plus a light no problem with very little work compared to OG's i do agree. she will never fail you! There's always a market for chunky dense frosty blue dream.

I gotta throw in my $0.02... I'm very partial to Washington. We have hella cheap power; I pay 8.3 cents per kw/h. You find a place out in the sticks and you can be paying as little as $600-800 a month for a small house with a garage. Closer in to Seattle, I was seeing places for $1250-1600 that would work well (either with a daylight basement or two car garage). Also, pretty straightforward plant count limits. 15 per card, 45 per "collective garden". Some interpret that to mean you could have more than one collective garden in one location, provided each garden is seperate from another, but I don't push things. I find its quite simple to pay the bills and stack some extra back each harvest with 45 plants. Especially if you have the space to grow trees.

What about Northern Cali, like way north? Lil town action, Mt Shasta area. Weed, Dunsmuir, maybe Redding, Yreka, off I-5? Seems to someone on assistance since the state got its economics back in order, there might be more aid as opposed to a poorer state, like OR? And just growing for personal, not anything big. Any info greatly appreciated.

It all depends on what's important to you . For me weather is #1. I hunt up in the Shasta area and the people are pretty nice. I would put it on par with Wyoming Montana Idaho and parts of Colorado that I've hunted. Nice enough people but after a week or two I just wanna go home. I love the coast, the redwoods and the mild climate. If you don't mind a little harsher weather the Shasta area isn't a bad choice.

Theres alot of good information here i have done some research on Oregon and Washington both are very attractive alternatives for me but the thing i keep getting caught up on is the fact that you cant vend in either state from what i was reading you can only make back you costs in those states am i wrong about that? i would love to move to washington it seems like there kinda under the radar but cali has always been where i wanted to be since i was a child.
