can a 55 year old guy move to colorado and become a caregiver and make at least 20k in profits per year?

I honestly dont think its possible to make that kind of money with 5 clients. I may be wrong and i am not a cargiver but things dont look great for caregivers at the moment.
The green rush is over and now it seems like making money doing this is a risky plan to say the least. again all of this is just my opinion from what i see going on. best of luck and make sure to get a back up plan as jobs are scarce around these parts.

michigan a care giver can have 72 plants,I believe you could do better than 20,000 with 72 plants.
Are you from the south bro?Im in Tennessee and I may go to Michigan myself

colorado is 36 plants and 5 patients if i remember correctly. and you have to register your grow and be prepared for random inspections for code violations and what not.

not legally. there is so much oversight now, it would be difficult for you to make any money. You would have better luck in another state like arizona.

You dont need luck, all you need is some lights and some good cuts man. I moved here 2 years ago and the game out here is still wide open! You got a bunch a kids with no balls that love growing legal weed and rock out closet grows and you got people that really grow weed coming here from other states to rock shit out and not go to jail. Then you got the dispensary owners that have no fucking idea what good weed is and dont care. Honestly im rocking a 10 lighter right now and cant grow enough of the shit. $2800 a lb is good money when you are moving more than a fucking 4x8 tent. Thats denver prices but you can go north, west, south, and get a bit more. Boulder County is where you want to be cause our DA is FUCKING GREAT and they respect higher plant counts. I had cops come thru and even with some bullshit paperwork and over plant count they just said cool and bounced. Its not worth their time to bust small growers and anything under 20 lights out here i would consider a small grow. $20K a year....NOOOO FUCKING WORRRIEESSSSSSS!

No offence taken.I wouldn't say i know nothing about the topic because im not a CG. I have a number of friends who are CG's and im not exactly an idiot. I guess i could also say if your not a Native to the state then WTF do you know about who is lame and who is not? Not trying to argue with ya i was just giving the thread starter my 2 cent's.

as far as lames bro in the almost 2 years ive been here i have only met a hand full of people that are true growers. I love this state, came here in 95-97 then went out, caught some felony charges for growing down in florida then back up here to do it legal. Its what i do, what i will always do, did it on felony probation with random visits...lol There are tons and tons of "its legal so ill grow" people but those arent the real growers man. Add into that the clone scene is a freaking nightmare, even the people that are suppose to no WTF they are talking about have no idea WTF is a real cut and what isnt. Regardless i hike, snowboard, whatever this whole state and LOVE IT! When Jesus comes back to assrape all the little boys he will come here first cause its as close to heaven as it gets!!

There is no way to legally make a profit from MMJ in CO if you are not an MMC. PERIOD. Everyone making a living from MMJ in CO who is not a licensed MMC is breaking the law. Everyone. You might be legally allowed to grow 36 plants and posses up to 12oz but the minute you sell it to a patient who has not specified you as their caregiver you are clearly breaking the law. And, even when you are selling to patients who have authorized you as their caregiver you are not allowed legally to make a profit.

Is it possible to make a living as a caregiver in CO nowadays? Hell yes. Would it require you outright breaking the law to do so? Hell yes. Is some protection better than none? Of Course.

I asked the same question over a year ago, everyone from co said not to come here. I came anyways. I run 16 lights with 16 flower plants and Im doing fine. The only problem is if someone stops by during harvest and you get caught with pounds instead of ounces... Its legal to grow plants but its not legal to sell weed for a profit. Use your own judgment on how much risk you want to take..

Caregivers operate on a lower level and the mmc's are the ones bringing the heat from the feds and the state regulations.

Laws are all how you interpret them anyway.

Yeah its definitely a good quote. There are a lot of good people here as well as a few lames. but that's any state i imagine. And your right most of the cuts floating around are a nightmare for sure. The CG scene is still very shaky in my book and not something i would want to be a part of. especially at 55 years old. Just all seems to risky for my blood. I respect those who try and are willing to take the risk.

B/C I didn't specify that ALL MMJ is illegal under federal law, everything I said was BS? LOL...You youngins. Funny.

It's not pleasant to think that what you do is illegal despite the paper on your wall. But face it, it is. Sorry. There is no lawyer in the state of CO that would disagree with what I wrote.

I'm not saying I'm not guilty of the same crime, but at least I'm not kidding myself and living under false illusions. If you're going to play the game, know the rules.
