Found this little guy growing next to one of my autos. Lol guessing environment to cold and damp? Don’t know where the spore could have came from. Is this gonna be a problem? Temps usually between 68-76, humidity around 50-60%.

Not a problem at all. If anything, indicative of healthy soil.

Sweet. Funny thing is I’ve tried growing mushrooms before and couldn’t get one to sprout thanks for easing my mind beluga

Yeah, it's a full on battlefield of bacteria, other fungi, and whatever other microbes everywhere around us.. it's a whole different mindset and approach to growing mushrooms.
Oysters are a good place to start if you ever decide to try again - their mycelium swallows up competitors almost like a mold.

Interesting. I didn’t give it much effort before but now with the my new setup it might be easier to grow shrooms. I’ll do some research and might give it another go!

Talk to Aqua Man about Shrooms! He's actively growing them right now.

Grdnguy,
Nice. Loads of organic matter being broken down by fungi. How’s your soil pH? Fungi prefer lower pH, <6 or more.

Two more shrooms popped up this morning in different pots. All I have is the crappy 3 way meter to measure soil PH. It says 7-8ph but I don’t trust it. I’m using Fox Farm Happy Frog. Only fed them Cal mag so far.

Google the pH of water after adding a specified amount of water and white vengar. Make that, this is your low pH standard solution. Then do the same search for sodium bicarbonate ( baking soda) and water. That is your high pH standard solution. Calibrate once then discard.

Actually your plants look good don’t worry. Those fungi are doing you a favor. No deficiencies I’ll bet. The mushroom fruiting body is a basidiomycete, one of the more advanced families. Very much different and unrelated to those root rotting fungi the powdery mildews.

Ok cool I’ll try to calibrate it. Thanks for the info on the mushrooms. Didn’t think it would be something I would need to know growing cannabis lol do you think I should leave them in the plants? Are they beneficial? Thanks!
