Since my big adventure in November, I've been going to dialysis for kidney failure 3X weekly. Its a drag sitting there for 4 hours while you watch you blood go in and out. What was the old song... The worms go in, the worms go out. In your stomach and out your mouth... I've brought my laptop in to help pass the time after listening to every song that I've ever heard on my headphones during previous sessions. Now I can both enjoy this site while I jam away to my old tunes!
On a canni related topic, I watered my clones for the 1st time today since Feb 14. They were clones transplanted directly into 5 gllon buckets with Promix and manure mixed. I had to move them apart a little today as they are beginning to overlap. I can't believe how large they have grown in the last 2 weeks. O..n a strange note, 3 of the 8 are displaying pistils despite being in solid, alternate node vegging mode. I had this happen with Grandaddy Purp, but now it eems the genetics have spread into some offspring. I can't believe how much different the strains are nowadays. Landrace is pretty rare any more.
Best of luck! Hope it's only temporary.Since my big adventure in November, I've been going to dialysis for kidney failure 3X weekly. I don't think so based on what I felt. The dialysis mostly removes water soluble stuff, like salts and minerals. The water soluble vitamins are what I take to replace what dialysis removes. Is the THC not dialyzed during your session?
Home again, home again. Jiggity Jig! Everything went well. With the stoppage of most surgeries and medical procedures, I was lucky to get it done today. The first surgery cancelled so they were just about waiting with an IV and a hospital gown in the parking garage. After trying 5 times to start an IV, I showed the tec the best spot despite their overwhelmong knowledge, it went in smoothly instead of repeated jabs. That was the worst part. They gave me Fentanyl and I kept asking when they were going to dose me, which got me some strange looks. They doubled it and still not much of a reaction. I guess decades of opiate use permanently raises your tolerance. They added some Ketamine and finished it off with a propofol chaser, which seemed to take forever to take hold. Usually you go right out, but I was talking to them for a good 20 seconds or so after first feeling it... usually it's so fast you don't feel it at all. Don't know. I was also a lot more groggy afterwards for a little, mostly a little dizzy. I have driven in much worse conditions, but I let my daughter escort me back home.
Intubation sucks!! Despite earlier assurances that it wouldn't be needed, they did it. Hopefuly I don't get issues with my trachea again which is my reason for wanting to avoid intubation in the first place. But anyhow, I now have a 10 inch long hose sticking out of my stomach to the left of my belly button. This is the hose I'll need to connect to for the rest of my life unless I can get a transplant. Hook up at night, disconnect in the morning while it pumps fluid in and out of the catheter, acting like a kidney. I'm hoping it works as the 3x weekly hemo treatments are a pain in the ass, unpleasant, and take up your life. Hopefully this will allow me to travel and live a more normal life. If Mr Corona doesn't get me first!
Maybe time for a flush? (I thought that's what the dialysis did Jim?)While going over my bloodwork and the all important electrolyte balance, the nutritionist told me my Phosphorus was high. I now take Calcium Carbonate (Tums) with a meal and it binds with the Phosphorus and making it unavailable. There is also a product in your blood that balances the Phosphorus and Potassium levels. Since my Phos levels were high, the product that regulates the two's ratio was off kilter as well.
This sounds an awful lot like what happens in nute lockout caused by excessive Potassium or Phosphorus use. Nothing to do with Ph lockout, but they somehow compete for some of the same sites and processes. Too much of one keeps the other from being utilized. In the case of Phosphorus over feedings... would calcium carbonate bind it up to possibly restore the balance, or would the carbonate simply skew the Ph upwards?
Flushing for me would be like what some of these guys do to their plants...looks funny...add Cal-Mag. Lockout form Ca;-Mag? Ad Ph down. Ph too low? add lime. Ph too high, now you have a lockout!! Much like chasing tails trying to figure out deficiency/lockouts/Ph interactions... it will drive you crazy. I'll stick to the Tums until I start the peritoneal full time. Perhaps I should add some Masterbud or Frostynug to the solution?Maybe time for a flush? (I thought that's what the dialysis did Jim?)

You're going to need part A and B! Lol I can't think of anything more scary than having to go to a hospital or a lab type place where they do the dialysis right now! I canceled my doctor's appointments today for next month, probably won't be going the month after that either, stay safe!Flushing for me would be like what some of these guys do to their plants...looks funny...add Cal-Mag. When you walk in, it's like a gauntlet from a Clint Eastwood movie. First they take your temp, then listen to your lungs, followed by zillions of questions, sanitizer for your hands, and last but not least, a face mask. Once you pass this barrage you get taken back to the main room where you sit like cowbows around a campfire, about 6 ft apart with machines chugging and beeping. The nurses now wear masks at all times and wear those nasty plastic smocks. Gloves get changed not only between every patient, but between each phase of hooking you up to the mechanical vampire. You're going to need part A and B!
