My 1st grow

I am reading and understanding more and more each day. As I watch my plants go through their life cycle I have this awesome sense of peace when I look at them. It's amazing... I have never seen a plant that I have smoked for so many years actually grow. I also now understand why this shit is so high...lol...
There are so many techniques and methods some that I will try in my next grow. I am glad that I have got this forum to help me make better decisions even when my wallet exceeds my growing experience .
My whole crazy veg room idea was toppled by a wonderful post I read on lighting here in this forum... I am just using two 4 foot T5 lights in my little room , clone my 2 plants before flowering and while I am waiting for the clones to root put the plants under a small hps light 150 watt before I through them in the tent.
I have also learned that if I want to 420 with you guys here I got to buy some of these fire ass seeds for sale on here and get with it...lol

Oh funny story. I open the tent yesterday and saw some white shimmery stuff on some of my leaves. I stayed calm and was praying PLEASE NO MOLD!!! it has been raining quite a bit here. Well it aint mold it's fucking dope....lol My bitches are really getting in heat...lol

I made a statement about LED lights and have since discovered I was wrong. You can mix the lighting HPS and LED according to The BIG ED ROSENTHAL, and you can use them for Veg.. I have tasted some bud from an LED grow.. I am stoned to the fracking bone right now..lol So all that LED growing at no good...that's bullshit.....;) It's all in how you grow .... Oh and airy buds ,yes the buds were not really dense but the smoke was:playful: VAAAAAAVOOOOOM!!!!!

Update I was stoned for almost 3 or 4 hours...It was from some seed from here..Fuck this local shit.. I wanna ride with the big boys on here...This is some real weed right here...I am glad I coped a few grams... Aliens and I really get along..this guy or girl is breeding some killer ass weed ...:blackalien: I can't remember ever being stoned like this. I am spooked about rolling another one...lol

LED lights for growing wow ... a little expensive... but the cheaper ones..will work but not like the big boys. Maybe, Maybe not; this winter I will drop 1200 and get me 2 of them from California. That's right 1200 dollars which is about 4 times the amount of money I have in my room now..I am impressed with my friends setup but the only draw back is the amount of plants. I do not want more than 6 plants in my home period.. The law says 12 but I am going to stay 6 or under..He has way more than 12 but he is a caregiver....To many plants make me a little nervous...

I was reading this article on Grow Easy about Marijuana Defoliation:arghh:;)lol...Since I am a new grower and 1st grow mistakes and snafus are okay..right??So I decided to try this technique on a plant that is healthy but a lot smaller than the rest. Maybe I will get a few more grams off of her. It certainly opened her up to light all the way down to the soil. Top buds are awesome but I will smoke a bud that is growing any where on the plant...lol Here is a pic before I plucked her and after...

I tested my water and its running between 110 and 120 ppm and I tested it over a one week period.I was watching a vid on youtube about water quality and the quality of the bud from the grow. I can see his point water is important.So I added a water purification system to my to get list.. I am going to get it down to about 60 ppm or less...I liked what the guy said soil or hydro it doesn't matter it's all in the water. Is that why you California boys can grow those huge buds ? because your water is about 30 ppm out the tap....lol:)

Well I am really pissed at one of my so called mentors. I described that I saw some white powder on my leaves and he said nothing. Well I am up on my shit and I read and study and ask more than one person a question. It seems like I have a bit of powdery mold. I am on it. I turned off my inline fan for about 2 hours and will let my temp rise to about 95 degrees and kill that shit. Arrrh , I guess he wants me to fail so he will still have me as a customer..:) .lol.. He doesn't know me at all I NEVER GIVE UP OR GIVE IN...I won't be copping from him any more.. asshole..

I sprayed my plants with a 4 teaspoons of Hydrogen peroxide diluted in a quart of water. I am going to get some NEEM oil also. I am glad that I took those fan leaves off this morning.. I will wait til my next on light period and I will check the plants again. If I have to tomorrow I will reverse the blower on my light and blow heat into the tent and bring the temp up to 100 degrees and kill this shit. I agree with this guy from another site..

Powdery mildew is usually restricted to the leaves of cannabis. There are two different fungi that cause Powdery Mildew:
1. Sphaerotheca macularis
2. Leveillula taurica
Both produce lots and lots of conidia, and spread by the slightest breeze to sites of secondary infection. Losses increase as plants mature.
Symptoms: Early-raised bumps or blisters on upper leaf surfaces. From these areas the powdery mycelium arise. Mildew can remain isolated in irregular pustules or develop all over the entire leaf. Leaves soon look like they were dusted with flour. Infected plants remain alive, or they prematurely yellow, brown and die. If the disease runs its course, black specks (fungal cleistothecia) appear in the powdery mycelium.
You need magnification of at least 80x power (100x would be better). Conidia and cleistothecia and L. taurica conidiophores emerge through stomates of the leaf.
Powdery Mildew affects the leaves not the buds.
If you have any fears, put your bud (s) in your oven for five minutes at 302 degrees F. This will kill: fungus, mold, microorganisms, spores.
My best recommendation is that you not have mold or mildew or any fungal disease in the first place..........................
Now he gave some great advise until he stars that pontifical shit. Well pope pretty good info tell me how you fuck with mother nature , she's a wild bitch..no one has tamed her yet. I read that any grow can get it. Fuck it I am going to war...LOL

Okay I woke up this morning and low and behold my garden is in check. The spray worked!!! I am going to remove all the plants from the tent and go in there and clean it with bleach. Oh and for those who want to know how I raised the temp in my tent. It was easy just disconnect the tubing on one end of my 600 watt light and reverse the blower and blow the hot air from the light into the tent, trust me that fucker was roasting.. lol I am going to repeat the process one more time and use the spray at least 2 times a week til I harvest. I am not going to allow this little problem to cause me to loose this crop. Hell I got buds the size of a porns tars dick in there...lol:wtf:LOMAO

I do have one great growing friend that has given me a list of all the little preventives to add during veg to prevent this from happening. I am going to treat ALL OF MY PLANTS LIKE THEY ARE INFECTED AND BUG RIDDEN from day one...I am gonna vaccinate those ho's...lol Plus if I don't like the taste of the bud after a final wash in peroxide bath. I am gonna make hash out of the buds and use alcohol wonder if 151 rum would work?????

Just hit a bowel of the weed that is in my tent. It came of a stem that had some signs of infection. Now this weed is only 4 weeks into bloom and let me tell you that the taste is not to bad , a little green but it sure has a nice kick to it. I am just going to wait and see if it breaks out again if I can make it another 3 weeks I wont be to hurt killing them....I am however considering making a sacrifice of the plant that had the most on it to the Cannabis Goddess....

I am considering this grow pretty much over and even though I had some success and things were going good for awhile, the PM even though its been contained has made this the standard failure. In one sense it was a failure but in another sense I have learned a lot.
1. All the grow books and videos never speak of preventive maintenance save one Hydrohybrid and my friend the Don who is compiling a list of maintenance stuff for me. They want you to fuck up so you will buy more of their shit.lol Oh they warn you about bugs fucking bugs don't have shit on PM and BUD rot.. Because these to fuckers attack at the end and take out a whole crop.
2.Now I know why weed is so expensive because of the end of grows can turn from shinola to shit over night.
3. Everyone has their own spin on growing and it's okay. I have to find my own.
4. Vigilance is important ( I got that down I am anal any way) watch those plants.
5. Find a good forum which I have.This one has so much info on it..amazing..and there are people on here that know what the fuck they are doing. That's how I found out about the powdery mold utilizing this site.
6. DO NOT LISTEN TO FUCKING PEOPLE IN GROW STORES they are worse than used car salesmen. They will sell you an over priced light and a small tent and shit load of nutrients that you don't need and sell you some more shit as your plants are cooking under that light ...lol just fucking with grow stores...lol
7. Always try something new.
8. NEVER GIVE UP... I am just like that naturally...
9. Learn as much as you can about the life cycle of plants.
10.If you do grow some weed and its bad don't be upset.. fuck that be upset...lol
11. Its all in how you grow....
So folks this is a wrap ... my 1st grow and even though I tried my best ..was a failure in one sense and a victory in another...Now that my Cherry has been broken.. TIME TO GET GROWING!!!!;)
