I will be useing Spinosad and Safer Caterpillar soap with BT early in flower.
But
I wanna find some netting to cover them hoophouse style..

Would mosquito netting work?

Good luck mang! had a lil problem with budworms a cple years ago. ours came from spruce moths. didnt have the problem last year. wouldnt know how to stop moths thatd be a big chore in my neck of the woods.

Side note; weird, didn't think about it until after I posted, but really a lot of us have plants which are related to each other that we didn't get directly from one another. It's weird if you think of it, or maybe I'm just really high. I'll have to revisit this thought later, lol.

I almost missed this post. I wasn't watching the thread yet. (thanks for the like jaws ;) )
I had the two harley moms outside with supplementary lighting for a few weeks..they seemed happy..
a couple weeks ago..I moved the light..and they started to flower..so I am light depping them..
I have a dozen clones from these moms that have recovered from the Thrips...but Im going to wait till june to put them outside,


I cover these at 6pm...They were sleeping...but I will let them sleep in a bit tomorrow.

bout 9 days of lite dep so far

I think I will go smoke some Harley too and try to decide if I wanna grow it again next year..

anyways ken, lemme know how your soap works because i get those damn caterpillars, i think mine are cutworms, but friggen moths land on em, lay theses weird eggs (almost like a single hair sticking up with a little bulb on the end) then im F'kd...... been wondering how to keep a handle on them. good luck

I alternate safer soap and montrey spinosad. Spray at least once a week during flower.
Yeah I think the moths lay em early...then, when the bud is almost ripe the damn worms hatch and start eating their way out from the inside...you can hardly tell they are in there.
..If the worm dies in the bud, there can mold.

In the veg room the Thrips went mostly for the Harley.. I had about 5 strains in there. Some plants weren't even infected at all..
and last fall, 90% of the worms and damage we found was on the Harley.

Bugs like Harlequin.

Those are GOOD EGGS Vape Bro. :D

Those are Lacewing eggs. Lacewing larvae eat mites and aphids.
so If you see those kind of eggs again..protect em...and hope they hatch :)

I have them here in my garden laying eggs they are pretty cool lookin.

I can't blame 'em, lol. Yeah whole different ballgame outdoors, lots more critters to deal with.

Do you treat your clones with any type of insecticide or fungicide (either organic or non)?

When I see mites I use Mighty wash. Works awesome!
I used spinosad to kill the thrips...worked well in two applications .
I had the spinosad on hand because i use that in flower to try and prevent bud worms..
safer soap too.(alternated)

Right now in my garden, everywhere i look, I see LadyBug Larvae .:)
and I dont wanna spray nothing that would hurt them.

I do have to pick grass hoppers off..by hand and smash em..:p

But I think (right now) The Good Bugs are winning in my garden. :)
