We think it's because the hose is holding in water which the vapor is connecting to.

Some nights the humidity will be fine, others we have to go shake water out of the pipe before vapor starts coming out again.

What should we do?

This is how we have it setup. The box is outside, the pipe goes straight up and then slopes down into a long line in our tent. It seems like if we shake the pipe and empty collected water the vapor starts coming out again, but that's annoying to do repeatedly.

Any suggestions?

Just a thought, but maybe the vapor is condensing inside the pipe on the way to the tent because of the temperature of the room the box is at... So hear me out, the pipe that leads from the humidifier to the tent is cold from the Air conditioning in that room and the vapor traveling inside is warm, causing it to condense once it reaches that curve in the top hence creating droplets of water inside the pipe that accumulae over time, an easy solution might be to put the pipe into the tent by the top straight, instead of the bottom that way the vapor can flow freely without condensing if that doesn't work then you might be just have to put the humidifier inside the tent..

I might be wrong but, it's the only explanation I can find as too why your having this issue.

Can you put the hose through one of the higher side duct openings of your tent?

I do yeah, you see how there's like a U shape in your hose, my best guess is your vapor is condensing there causing the water build up. If you can make the hose as straight as possible I think it will help.

Try and find a position for the humidifier where the hose doesn't have that hump coming out of it and the hose is as straight as possible.
