when i can bend the stem and it almost snaps,i put in jars,,usally with my temps and humidity that is about 7 days after i harvest,,just slightly bend the stem and if it acts like it about ready to snap,jar them,,also if your buds start getting crunchy jar them,,easier to burp jars to make sure than over dry them,,but if you do just put some leaves that arent dry ,can even be from another plant,,the moisture will absorb into your buds,,i never really use the snap routine,,hell with a hundred degrees and 70% humidity i cant tell,,i hang mine in my tent,in the dark with a little fan on low inside tent,and go in there daily and shuffle them around,after 7 days they go in jars,,have you ever cut hay? you mow it,wait a day shuffle it,wait a day shuffle again,by this time you can tell how its drying,,when you got a good dry on it ,rake it and day after bail it,,if you put it up wet,it will blow up your barn,,same principle here with the weed other than it will just taste like hay,,so after 7 days ,i feel my biggest bud,run my thumb down to the stem and feel if it still has moisture,,little is ok ,,but not a lot,,my smaller buds i go ahead and jar,,they will dry alot quicker than thick ass buds if you dig what im trying to say,,dont take my word though because all my methods go straight back to farming,lmao,get a few more folks opinion see how they do it,lmaowait. i thought i wanted the branches to break. thats to far?

buds feel wetter than the stemsafter a while u will know when...do the budz feel dry but the stems still bend without snapping?
how i harvest,,first while still in pot,i cut all the solar panels off and smaller panels,,next day i chop at the stalk and hang upside down in my tent,,and like i already wrote my method,,but trim ha damn all that shit,,if it has leaves coming out the buds,,i smoke that shit,,just me,,my trimming is down before i harvest the plant,,me lazy,,i use to do all that trimming and save all them leaves and make hash,,damn that ,to much work,,hahah that popcorn and them leaves growing from the bud,,i smoke it straight to ash lmaoi figurei had a few more days but maybe more now the humid ais at 40 percent. i can pinch the stem and you can just tell its not to that point of bending to break.. i think i know what you mean.
i have no problem burping.. but i do not want to jar to soon you know.
and i double check yeah i think i have 2 days 3 days but i think the middle one only has 2 days. just guessing but its dryer than the other two by some

just check em daily and all goodbuds feel wetter than the stems
i think a better way to explain my method,is when you bend the stem and the fibers try coming apart but dont snap in half,does that sound about right renojust check em daily and all good
n many folk use them,,i never have,,but one thing for sure,wont know if you dont try,,if you do take one the small buds and drop it in check in the morning what it reads,,i know there got to be plenty of folk on this site that use them and could help you outso i have this thing yeah.

im wondering if i would learn anything if i was to take a top bud off one of the plants and see where im at.
yeah that is how i have to look at this ( getting experience ). and try to do better next time. i will take a bud tomorrow and see what it reads.it will be day 5.It should take a few more days with the higher humidity possibly 6.the outside will feel and look dry but the inside will be a bit moist. cut some up and smoke in a loosely rolled joint if you have to spark it two times or less its ready for the jar. Nothing like experience when it comes to drying weed 68% to 70% humidity when first jarred should burp down to 62% or so within a week.
ok, ill do so tomorrow.trim a branch off that's close to half the jar to get a good reading 2 or 3 hours and your hygrometer should give an accurate reading.
