This is my first grow. I will include everything with links to what I'm using Minus the fans. Any tips and anything you spot I can change, let me know. The purple lemonade appears to be curling up a bit. But the strawberry cheese isn't. Maybe put the lights up?

This is the grow tent.

Looks ok, they are still babies. That is a lot of light for those little plants, the manufacturer suggests turning the cobs off for seedlings, I would agree, you don't need 400 watts for two little babies. Also, being in large pots, watch your watering, they don't need much. Looks like you are doing good, keep it up.

Or leave the cobs on and turn the other switch off. But full power is probably overkill.

The full spectrum lights run at 196 true watts I believe and the cobs using the 230 or so true watts. Probably benefit with leaving the full spectrum lights on? The cobs are white lights. Thank you kindly for in the input.

White is full spectrum. Either switch on would work, you just want to get the intensity down for your babies.

At what stage of their growth would you recommend switching the second light back on? With the amount of leaves of the one, veggie stage should be close, no?

And you don't need to pay to make all that light for little plants if they don't need it.

i agree the light is to much for them at the moment. either rise it more, or put the intensity down. I notice in one of the pictures you had two switches. I think its veg mode and flower mode. You want to only have veg mode. If you have a smart phone you can download a light meter and find the intensity. You would want 5500 lux. A T5 light would be perfect for it right now

the 2nd light mode should come on in flower mode not at the begging.

You want around 30 watts per square foot for flower and can veg with half that. I'd veg with one switch on and then flower with both. Too bad there is no dimmer, that makes it easy to dial the light in to the plants' needs. Just know that the manufacturer recommendations/specs are going to be exaggerated with that light, you are going to have to read your plants. You can also get a lux meter app for your phone to try and get light distance dialed in. There is plenty to read here about using lux to get in the ballpark of optimal lighting. Just keep it simple while they are babies, I would cut one switch and see how they grow over the next week.

And to Akgrow. I turned the white light cobs on only. Getting a meter and learning about that stuff more now. I didn't want to small of a light when buying my gear. But I think I went pretty big. It was just such a Good price. The temp has gone down to 26.2 which I'm happier with, and the rh to 50%. This is with the other lights turned off and just the cobs on. They don't seem to be reacting negatively over night from it of course. So we'll see how the week goes. Thank you all very much

Today is watering day.every other day roughly they are getting a litre of water with quarter strength nutrients. This will be the second nutrients feeding. And third watering with anything above a spray bottle. I turned the one light off as they suggested which drastically cooled down the tent to 26c and brought the humidity up to 50. I think they were cooking a bit with the intense light as well as the upper layer of soil, as when you'd put your finger in knuckle deep you'd still feel a bit of moisture when this photo was taken, but the top layer was dried out. I have reached optimal growing conditions with the one light off, so it's not so intense. I'll have to raise it to the roof when I flower.

As seedlings the roots arent very deep yet, so that first cpl inches are more important as of right now. The fact that you relaxed the light will help. Stay the course but chill on the nutes, the seedling doesnt need much as of now bc your soil has shit in there and they are "born" with some nutes to begin growth from seed...so just water for now. Wait for them to get a bit larger and then add nutes. Idk tho, thats my opinion and what I was taught.

Your opinion is very much appreciated and taken into consideration. The one seems to be thriving quite well with the nutrients. Very small amounts. 1ml of base and veg for litre and a bit, of water. With both lights and no humidifier, it was reaching 30c and and 20% rh. So it wasn't good for a little. Hoping it didn't stunt them. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I put the seeds to germinate, and roughly 9 days since popping through the soil.
I just worry about the curl of the one. Only thing people were saying was nitrogen deficiency or light stress. The nutes gave plenty of nitrogen, so it must have been the extreme light blast?

The one on the left is strawberry cheese. Looking beautiful. And the purple lemonade is just having a thing with those two leaves.

Light intensity down and humidity up will help those leaves relax. They look a bit crispy.

+1 for chill on the nutes, especially if you are on an every other day watering schedule. That’s a lot of ppm per week for those small root sets. Also, roots will not grow into dry soil, but being so small in big pots you want to be super anal about your watering techniques. I would prob give those pots a good wet down with ph’d water and not touch them for 5-7 days. Let the roots do their thing - they are autos so right now is the most crucial point in their life cycle.

Other than that you are off and running - 100 days til your smoking your own stash!

They look good and healthy, make sure they have plenty of humidity when they're small. They tend to strive a lot more with some heat and humidity until they transfer to flower.

Good luck and enjoy the process.

The litre of water definitely hasn't been enough for me to get any run off from the large pots. I know roots will go searching for water at the bottom. Should I water with straight 6.0ph water no nutes, till runoff then let those roots do the thing for the next few days? I constantly hear of over watering and as a first timer grower, it's ingrained to worry about that. Thanks for the input!

I also haven't waters yet today. I was going to do a watering with nutes. They have only had nutes once so far. This would have been the second feeding. Should I go straight water?

If your first feeding was 2 days ago, yes - just go water this time.
