This is pieced together from all my photos and videos and recorded a few weeks prior to harvest.

Initial Setup
:

  • 3 gallon plastic pots
  • Natures Care Organic Potting Mix + extra perlite
  • Fox farms trio for soil
  • General Hydroponic PH up/down
  • 1 Viparspectra 450W LED Grow Light
5/25/2020.

We prepared Natures Care Organic Potting Mix and added perlite. We potted in used 3 gallon plastic containers. I thought it would be a good idea to add some fabric weed barrier and rock to the bottom to keep the dirt in and assist with drainage (oops). We attempted to germinate 4 Bubba Kush seeds, 2 seeds germinated successfully.

6/15/2020

One plant showing signs of overwatering
My first grow failure and my second grow success learning from my mistakes

Started feeding veg nutrients at ½ recommended dosage every other watering.
My first grow failure and my second grow success learning from my mistakes 2

Took 4 clones off the more vigorous plant. Attempted to germinate 1 Oregon Underdawg and 1 Critical Bilbo

7/22/2020

All 4 clones took root and 1 seed germinated but we forgot to label them so the strain remains unknown. Purchased a second Viparspectra 450W LED.

No nute burn present on the original 2 so we bumped feeding up to full strength.

8/6/2020

Flipped the original 2 plants to 12/12 and switched to full strength bloom nutes

8/11/2020

Original 2 plants began the stretch

My first grow failure and my second grow success learning from my mistakes 7

The new batch of 5 start getting full strength veg nutes

8/13/2020

Second batch are getting to tall to fast so we begin a combination of LST, Topping, Super Cropping. We try something a little different on each FOR SCIENCE !

My first grow failure and my second grow success learning from my mistakes 9

The Original 2 keep stretching. I’m getting worried about the second batch now, it’s going to go through the roof if we don’t flower it soon.

Iv turned into a full time plant torturer trying to keep these girls down.

Nuglets start forming on the Original 2, I’m excited.

Plant torture continues this time I tie the unknown strain to the floor MUAHAHAHA. I did treat the plants to a new Mars Hydro TSL2000 LED

19
20

8/30/2020

Buds slowly getting bigger. Leaf tips start to burn and we ignore it (oops)

21

Unknow strain looks up at me as if to say “wtf did you tie me to the floor for”. Plant torture is going well the canopy is looking fairly even and full of tops.

22
23

9/4/2020

Time to ignore an emergency. The original 2 look dried up and are not drinking properly. We throw more water at them in an attempt to flush them.

24
25

9/10/2020

The second batch has exploded in reaction to training and pruning, it always needs a haircut.

26

The original 2 are pronounced with dead. The cause has many factors that include: Excessive heat, Over watering, Over fertilization, Saturated drain pans. We pull the plants and inspect the roots. ROTTEN!. Ordered HydroGuard and fabric pots soon after.

29

9/18/2020

The plants are trimmed up and transplanted into 7 gallon fabric pots. Started using HydroGuard. Reduced Nutes to ¼ strength.

30

9/24/2020

Switched the girls to 12/12. Really nervous they would stretch through the roof. Started bloom nutes at ¼ strength (very nervous from the 2 we lost)

31

10/9/2020

Buds are starting to pop up everywhere. The unknown strain has turned into a tentacle monster.

32
33

10/11/2020

We strip off all lower grow nodes and leave on most of the lower fans. Top fans are removed as needed.

Lower temps have started turning the Bubba Kush purple. The unknown strain is unaffected.

The unknown strain begins to show some deficiency and needs support to hold its buds up.

11/8/2020

All the buds continue to plump up

11/14/2020

The unknown strains leaves continue to yellow but the buds are looking good. The Bubba Kush is rapidly turning darker purple. Harvest is expected between the 19th and the 24th of November! Wish me luck.

1 day away from 8 weeks in flower. I notice some fallen branches in the very back corner. We haven't moved them since there last hair cut 2 weeks into flower. We pull everything out and string up the fallen buds. I find this big ole bud that's been hiding from me for over a week.

While pinning the buds up I am forced to remove some fan leafs that are in the way. This fan is so purple its gone black.

I have been counting the weeks since 12/12 as my flower time but just realized it's from when it starting forming buds im adding another 2 weeks onto my expected harvest window. They should be ready 2-3 weeks from now. Here is some close ups from today.

Happy thanksgiving.
All the new bud growth has darkened up and we have amber trichomes. Today was the last light they will see. The 48 hour dark period has begun. Dad accidentally clipped a bud off of the bottom the day before while removing a wilted fan leaf.

Tomorrow is chop day and I can't sleep thinking about it. It's bittersweet. I have to kill something I spent a long time nurturing but I still can't wait to light her on fire. I will try to document my experience as much as possible. Cheers farmers.

CHOP DAY. We took down 3 of the 5 plants. We left the biggest two for tomorrow. We spent about 6 hours wet trimming and hanging to dry. The scissor hash was bomb. We filled 2 one gallon freezer bags with trimmings and small buds to make bubble hash from later.

The buds were dry enough today to be jarred up for curing. We got a total if 11 ounces off of the 5 plants. Not to bad for 4.5 months. I have learned a lot and I am still learning. This will be my last post here. Cheers farmers.
