Can someone advise please. In my original post I talked about how one of my plants came from some bird seed and was growing outside. I potted the plant and put it under lights. But now that plan has encountered a problem. It wasn't looking so good and the soil remained too moist even though it hasn't been watered in days. I decided to replant it in better soil. I took it out and you could see that the overly moist soil had compacted around the plant, and I don't think it was draining and therefore keeping the roots wet. In fact, the bigger roots came away from the plant and they resembled little hoses (that's the only way I can describe it), there wasn't anything in them, but they had an outer form, if that makes sense. I repotted the plant in some decent soil, and a bigger pot. The plant in question is maybe about 12" tall, but not very filled out, though I'm guessing that's from the root issue.
My question is, does anyone think it's worth continuing with this plant, or did the root issue condemn it to death? Will it ever regrow better roots and do you think it will survive?
(Also, on a side note, I'm not really sure where to post, so if I'm not posting in the right place, please let me know. Thank you.)
