there 3 to 4 weeks old growing in soil from my yard been on a 12/12 light cycle for around 7 or 8
days gave them some organics nutes about a 1 or 2 weeks ago burned them a lil but they seem to have recovered from that

Up the light schedule to 16hrs on and 8 off , if not it may prematurely flip to flower and be weak. At 16 once you gauge they are about mature and able to yield based on size, flipping to 12/12 initiates the flower sequence

yea i know want them to flip i dont have a lot of room for them to grow tall

do u think i would have enough height to switch them to a 16/8 cycle for a few weeks ? my box is maybe 3 feet tall

Maybe a stretch but 2 weeks should be ample

k so as long as they havent stating flowering over night when the lights come on i will change it to 18/6 should i top them ? this is my first grow

My tent is not much bigger and I definitely let my plants get too tall. I went 8 weeks under a 400w HP’s at 50% today I flipped to 12/12 400w mh @100 %. I’m very interested in how you quick flip goes.

i put them on a 16/8 last night im gonna follow dudes advice and let them go for 2 weeks on it then flip them back

just a update watering tonight with just a lil epsom salt here is before and after pics of everything i have done i dont understand why the ppm and ph changed so much

i did this one first and didnt think about taking pics as much but heres my 2nd one

what i do not understand is i had a gallon of well water and the ph was reading 5.9 i put a lil ph up in it and it went to 6.5 watered the second plant first
when i went to water the plant in the first pic the ph up was reading 9 so i added ph down and got it down to 6.8 i dont understand what happen to the gallon of water in that short of time do i need to ad ph up and down and then wait 10 mins before i check it ?

Stay in 12/12 or your plants Will be to damn tall in 4 weeks.

Well another update just photos this time 1 day after some lst training they had stopped growing for a afew days b4 and after I did the transplant but they started. Back to growing that's when I decide to tie them down I'm on 12/12 light cycle I'm not sure if I should do any trimming off fan leaves are not

let it be just for a while, then you can prune. given short vegetative phase, the plant should be stocky, where you might not need to prune/train too much.

i just read up yesterday, on an article promoting 12/12 on/off light cycle straight away from seed - I'm trying to find it again, so I can post the link here. the practical outcome looked impressive! the article was comparing grow of the same strain (in same growing conditions) where one batch was given 2 weeks of vegetative phase before flipping, while the second batch was 12/12 on/off from seed to harvest - and the results worked out more grams per square metre doing the later 12/12 all the way.

i suppose it comes down to your growing conditions/circumstances and strain.
