i give it fox farms big bloom, grow big, busch wackers liquid seaweed and wholly mackerel.what nutrients are you feeding?
did curl down start after feed?
how often are you watering?
only half i made the mistake of giving it too much and almost killed my plant. when should big bloom be added?that's a lot of nutes full dose or half? , you dont need to be feeding big bloom at all yet
okay i will try that, luckily i only added nutrients on monday. i will give them a week of just water and see how they are. when should nutrients come into play?Sounds to me, like too much nutes. The soil and castings have nutrients in them, and then adding more on top? Seems like too much. I would see how they do with straight water for a few days/ week.
okay i will try that, give it water for a few days or a week a lightly start feeding it nutrients and i added maybe a full cup to the whole pot of soil? it was much because i usually add more as a top dressing later on.depending on the soil, like you mentioned already amended ffof gives enough for first few weeks, i would start giving it lite dosing of nutes around week 4 but as you probably may have over done it back off and water a few days. what ratio of earthworm casting to ffof did you end up mixing. it really has that dark curl at the end like from nutes but i can definitely still be wrong
You may be watering too often. What matters is the soil moisture near the bottom of the pot where it can't be seen. A soil moisture meter can be helpful. Letting the soil dry till the plants droop slightly and then lift the pot. The weight will be your test to know when to water.watering 2-3 times a week just depends on how the soil looks.
Fox Farm has a chart that shows when to use their amendments.when should big bloom be added?
okay yeah i am going to hold off on the nutrients for a little bit. definitely going to look into a soil moisture meter. i do the weight test but i feel the meter will also help determine.Downward curling leaf tips is an indicator of nitrogen toxicity. I had a problem with it during my last grow. I stopped the nutrients for a while and the plant recovered.

i dont get why they are adding 0-0.5-0.7 big bloom from the get go. wholly mackerel and grow big is a must for sure
same i always thought you were supposed to add nutrients for a while. always confused me.i dont get why they are adding 0-0.5-0.7 big bloom from the get go
the fox farms chart throws me for a loop, does the chart start from week one when you start giving it nutrients, not the first week of its life right? if that makes sense.

yeah same, i have been using it as a guide of sort too.I have trouble with the chart, too. My plants have never grown according to their schedule. I mostly use it as a guide.
The type of soil matters a lot, too.
I think the most important thing is to know and understand the plants, and that takes experience. People say that we learn from every grow. I believe it.yeah same, i have been using it as a guide of sort too.
yeah i agree, this isn’t my first one. i have learned a few things here and there form previous grows.I think the most important thing is to know and understand the plants, and that takes experience. People say that we learn from every grow. I believe it.
