I am looking for input regarding my list for an Ebb n' Flow system. I remember in the 90's helping a guy who ran a similar setup, now that I have a space, I am trying to recreate albeit on a slightly lesser level, his setup.
The acrylic sheet will be black (hopefully) and thicker then .093 mm and have 16-32 two inch holes drilled into it for the net pots stability.
Hopefully the table sits well in the Tent as the tent does have vent protrusions also at the bottom which I hope won't interfere with the table or reservoir.
I was going to flood twice a day, last one being two hours before dark. 18/6 for veg., 12/12 for flowering.
Personally I would go with a bigger pump (check the 730gph bottom feed ecoplus) and run 1in ebb fittings and fitting on the pump. The quicker you can fill/drain the table the better. Also I would drop the airstones. All that's going to do is fuck with your PH and gunk up your rez. You get plenty of air in the system from the flood\drain cycle. Also if using GH try and stay away from Liquid KB and powder. That will also fuck with your rez. Just up the bloom for that stuff. Way more stable. Shorter and more frequent quick draining flood cycles vs longer and less frequent cycles has way better results.
Took me some time to get money for the parts, just finishing the final touches, need to test the flood cycle before I start the seeds. Got some headband, skywalker og and one elmers glue seed.
Been crazy, long story short I started seeds (35 Headband, 14 Skywalker OG and 1 Elmers Glue. The Headband ones 0 sprouted, I think I had them too long, I had a few Skywalkers but the last one died during the heatwave a few weeks back. Sole survivor is 1 Elmers Glue.
My space gets hot where I am, when the light is on 103 degrees, which is why I lost most of the skywalker OGs I believe.
I just turned up my exhaust fan tonight, a tad late, I know, apparently I am at week 4 of my schedule.
I also am flooding 3x day, maybe I should push it to x4.
This run was educational, as I get used to the equipment and whats expected of me.
