I went in and did some final net tucking a few days ago. The left plant was already in its best place so it wasn't touched, but the branches on the other 2 plants needed space. The left plant is doing better, no worse at least. She is a little green but shes doing well. There is not much more tucking I can do. There were too many heads next to eachother, so I gave the larger tops their own squares. End of week 2 in a few days, so they are due for their final defoliation soon if you cant tell.

My plants have grown 5+ inches already in the stretch, so they are about 25-27" from my LED light now. Still on 50% power.

The chart has this water with a lower dose of kelp, but the rhizo and micro at a regular dose. They are drinking about 4 litres every 4 days. I made 15 litres but they only used 12, so next time I will only make 12. I watered until I felt moisture at the bottom.

The cold has been kicking my ass lately, but I am doing my best. I have some drops to 16-17 at night-early morning.

Thanks man! I haven't been seeing any negative effects, but I have been recording the drops. I try to keep them around 20 degrees, but at night I cant use my heater so it drops.

Week 3 of Flower.

The girls have just been doing their thing. I have started to ease off on the use of my heater so the plants get acclimated to the cool. There have been a few cold nights, but nothing that upset them. Left plant seems as happy as the other 2, not really sure what to think of its colour at this point she hasn't slowed down. Everyone is happy. Bud formation is going well on all 3 plants, but they don't start to look really cool for a few more weeks.

I like to defoliate and do a final strip at the start of week 3. By then its easier to see what will/wont make it into the light. As you can see there is a lot that didn't make it. I go easy on defoliation, but I am pretty merciless when it comes to shaded nodes.

After defoliation and lower node stripping.

New canopy. I didn't go nuts on the leaf removal within the canopy unless it was blocking nodes.

It has been another 4 days, and the girls are thirsty so I gave them 4 litres again but plain water this time. After I gave them 1 litre I scuffed up the top soil to make sure the top dress was not caked or clumped up together, I broke it all up and I evenly watered around the top of the pots. Next water is when I will be adding the fertilizer products to the water again as per the chart, so next water will be a "feed".

The plants have stopped stretching as much. I turned up the LED from 50% to 60%. After the stretch the LED is 20-25" away from the plant tops. Might adjust the LED height if they get any closer.

Left plant is still having a disco all on its own . I thought I would give her a section of her own so we could all gawk at whatever the fuck shes doing . There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with her growth despite her colour. I am keeping a very close eye on her and her colour is not getting worse, its gotten a bit better. I hope the next round of rhizo, micro, fertilizer and kelp in 4 days gives her what she needs. Its been 8 days since they all got their top dress (and calmag mineral composite) and she responded well to it.

I found "exposure compensation" on my camera, the brightness setting. Up is brighter, down is darker. It was on 0 and that was too bright. On -2 it was too dark. But on -1 it was perfect. I can now take pictures under my LED light.

24 hours ago I put 10 fem seeds into water, and today I put them into a paper towel in a sandwich bag between 2 paper plates. They are sitting on top of a piece of cardboard placed on top of a seedling mat which is how I have always done it. Strain is "Kir Royale" (Man Cookies 3 x RMQ) by the breeder HeavyDayze.

I have just topped all 4 of my plants. I used the pinch technique like I always do.
All plants had 4 well developed nodes, with 5th and 6th nodes being worked on by all.
Usually I top at 6 nodes minimum, but I have been told this strain requires early topping to bush out

Looks like u jumped right back into it and doing amazing great choice on light to spider farmer spf4000 is what I have and I love how my bud have that beautiful look and structure from the lighting I would recommend putting up the wall fans and a floor fan in center of tent pointing up to create that air flow don't wanna wind up powder mildew or mold they have been very rampant since legalized just like the new virus that attack quality quantity and strength of buds which mysteriously came about after legalization and mysteriously some seeds are immune already tho? Yeah I am a little embarrassed I only just found the Macro setting yesterday. I kept wondering why my close up shots were blurry. It turns out if Macro mode isn't on it wont focus in on what you are pointing the camera at haha.

For now I am going to keep them at the same distance and just increase intensity slowly. But I am keeping a close eye on the tips of my plants so that if I see some stress occurs I can lift the light up as I still have some space. I see a lot of people really pushing their LEDs and the distance, but I am just going to take it easy for this grow so I can at least establish my own baselines. Right now the very tops of my plants are 20" from the LED, and the lower nodes are about 25" from the LED.

Little update for you then! 2 have popped their tap roots and I am washing their starter pots today they're soaking in the sink right now, going to scrub them soon.

I am just intensively reading about it and I think we should start lower it down in 5-6 week, yes. For now intensity up. And then last two weeks intensity back down.
I also was watching with hawk eyes all good.
Hope it stays like this at yours and mine
greets

I have read the same thing too about week 5-6, so I am going to do that as well. Looks like we will be grow-buddies learning along together.

Make that 8 taproots have popped. Only 2 have not cracked their shell, but I am not going to wait around for them. 8 out of 10? Ill take those numbers any day.

I scrubbed their new pots, and I cleaned my old seedling tray as it is much larger than my new one and will fit all of my seedlings. I will be starting them in my 4x4 Spiderfarmer tent, under my Spiderfarmer SE5000 480W LED dimmed to the lowest setting right now WAY above my seedlings. My starting pots are 1.5 litres (or 1 litre of soil volume). I filled 2/3 with veg soil, and the top 1/3 with soft and light starter seedling soil. I put the seeds into the dirt tap-root first, covered them up, then sprayed them with water until the surrounding areas were wet. I have NEVER done it like this before, I usually just plant the whole seed, but lately I have been watching people place the seed so its poking out of the top soil to increase the odds the seed at least makes it to seedling stage, so I am giving that a go this time. Once they are all showing leaves I will lower the light distance and increase intensity to 50-100w 30"+ from the seedlings

It has been another 4 days and they got their next rhizo and fertilizer feed with their water. Used the same 3 powder products as the last fertilizer feed, as per the chart. I watered very slowly, allowing 15 minutes to elapse between each pouring of 1 litre. I am extremely happy with how the soil drinks. The plants in these pictures are still waking up and having a drink, it usually takes a few hours for them to perk up after I water them.

Plants have started to give off a distinct scent. It smells sweet and tangy, like bubbly wine or something. The left plant is stacking on more bud than the front plant. I am just going to ignore her colour until something goes wrong, because shes outperforming the front pheno right now.

The babies are doing really well. 8 were planted and 8 are now poking out, still with their shells on though. It is still pretty cold so I have a humidity dome over the seedlings to keep in the heat. I don't like using humidity domes for seedlings, but right now I need it to keep the heat in until they sprout their leaves, then I will remove it. I didn't want to let too much heat out, so apologies for the bad picture, I took it quickly and closed the dome.

I lowered the light to 30 inches above the humidity dome, and my SE5000 is on MIN, the lowest possible setting, probably around 30w. When the leaves pop out I will increase it to 10% which is 50w, and if I notice any stretching I will increase it to 100w. These seedlings wont fit in my small tent, so I am going to have to go easy with my LED above them.

Thanks man me too! I have absolutely no idea what she is doing but so far shes coming 2nd in bud development. Maybe I addressed the deficiency before there was permanent damage, but it left her pale as a result. I have no idea, I just hope she keeps stacking on bud like she has been.

I am very pleased with how my Kir Royale babies are doing. All 8 seedlings have poked up and lost their shell + membrane, and will be looking for light soon. Tomorrow I will be taking the humidity dome off for good. They had dried out slightly, so I gave them a few squirts of water each. The water bottle sits on the heat mat, so when I water them the temperature is nice and warm in this cold weather.

All 8 seedlings look like this right now, they just need to open up! It looks like every one of them is going to make it, and I double checked to make sure no membrane was left on. There is only 1 seedling that is a little behind the others, but even she is doing well. I have turned my light up to 10% which is 50w. In the next few days I will increase it to 20% which is 100w, still 30" above. Because I am not using a seedling light I don't want to put this light right on top of them.
