Hey guys and girls.

No update for another 2 days, but I got bored before lights-off so I ran in and played around with my camera and loupe for a few minutes. I can get way better pictures, but I just wanted to see if it would work. All I did was hold the loupe tight against my camera and take a few close-up pictures of the front plants buds. I have to work on remaining very still and getting the right distance.

First attempt at magnified shots.

I went on Amazon a few days ago and picked up these

Quick disclaimer… they suck! But I was able to get a few decent shows with the macro lens lol, not bad for 7 bucks lol

Like you said I need more practice on staying steady and I can probably get better photos, but it’s so much easier after chop when you can lay em on a table and really focus in lol… too bad we need to know how they look BEFORE we chop em lol

yeah some of those those lens clip are real good for macro shot with cell phone. i have seen some great shot taken with them

in general to stabilize I use a stool that I place as close as possible to the plants to sit on and I try to rest a forearm, an arm or a hand on my knees or a structure or the edge of the tent to stabilize, I also turn off the oscillating fan
when that's not possible i take few more shot until i get one that's not too blurry.

I think traditional big loupe with handle plus camera lens can give more interesting results
Was that a handle one @BudRanger1919 ?
Trichomaniacs

ps: hope postage was free on that 7 bucks

Sadly the camera my phone is pretty shitty because I never my phone, so when I replaced my old one I got a really cheap one. If I am lucky it rings once a fortnight. If I am unlucky it rings once a week and disturbs my peace . But yeah, I think photography at this magnification is another grade of difficulty. I took like 15 pictures and only those 2 images weren't okay haha.

That is great, I think that is what I need. I was leaning over my plants so not very steady, and 2 fans were oscillating. I even have a stool I can use. I will try this!

I have one of those really small keychain sized loupes so holding it against my lens is really fiddly, it is one of these. I think I need to see if I can find a larger one because mine is pretty small.

The Kir Royale babies! It has been a few days since they have been getting lights off, and I turned the light up 5% which is 120w, at a little under 30". I could have watered them yesterday, a few of the plants were thirstier than others but they will perk up tomorrow. The 3 Wonky plants have great true growth! Really happy with it, I just wish I had of watered yesterday.

Today it had been 4 days since their 150ml water, and they were overdue for their first soak. I mixed up 4 litres and I added the kelp and rhizo/fungi products. I used a mesh baking tray to sit the pots on, so I could leave them to drip. After an hour I put them back into their saucers. Roots are at the bottom of the pots now.

Top right was a little too dry, as was bottom 2nd from the right. But they will be fine. Wonky triplets doing well, they are the bottom 3 from the left. I put skewers under the pots so there's more airflow for the holes, and I changed their orientation so their leaves weren't touching anymore.

Tomorrow I will have some really fun images to share, so I wanted to give an update on the babies so my next post is all FLOWER FUN!

Week 7, day 44. It is day 2 of week 7.

It has been another 4 days, and the girls got their final top dress+mineral composite, as well as their final fertilizer feed with their water. The buds are getting REALLY fat, and I am noticing a lot of swelling every time I check on them. Very thirsty girls!

Some of the lower nuggets

Bud shots.

I am still learning how to use my camera with my loupe, but here is some bud shots under magnification.

That's from day of the flip, so they are about 1-2 weeks from harvest. They're not auto, its just my first time in living soil. Feeding mistakes likely caused an early fade which is especially obvious in the left plant, though the purple is RMQ genetics.

Right on. I ask because I am in my first grow since the early 80s & everything is different. I'm growing indoor, hydro & just barely into flower. Your plants look awesome

That's awesome man, I am in a similar boat, I stopped growing a number of years ago and when I came back I decided to try something new. I can see your images, they look really good man! You have a very clean set up too which I love. Looks like yours are starting to bud up well. And thanks man I appreciate it, they smell great too hahaha.

That is actually a very good idea, I haven't done that for a while. Here you go!

Very sweet and pungent, the left plant is the sweetest, but all of them are far far more stinky than they were last week, they must be stacking on terps too hahaha.

No you were right, I had not actually done a good bud-shoot from bottom-to-top yet and it was well overdue, happy to oblige . I am very happy to be running his seeds again, they are very solid flowers too. I try not to touch them often, but I did squeeze them today and they are very hard so I am keeping the dehumidifier going to keep it between 40-50%. I cant be certain, but I think the right plant is starting to pull ahead in weight. She is much, much more swollen than the other 2. Left plant is the sweetest.

YEP! Like apple, sweet but tangy. Extremely pungent. On water day, the short amount of time the tent door is open is enough to completely stink out my bedroom for about 4 hours.
