These 2 plants are 70 days from sprout, both autos. I’ve tried a loupe but just can’t get a good enough visual to determine if they have turned milky or not. The one with autumn covered leaves was the runt and seems to have caught up quickly. I can almost see some of trichomes have turned amber but not 100% sure. The other seemed to have matured faster but really not sure. I realize it’s hard to see in pictures but I just can’t seem to get a good visual. Any educated advise would be appreciated.

If I had to go only based on pistils, I would leave them a bit more. Until there's barely any white and the orange ones are curled into the bud. Now theyre mostly pointing up and I can see plenty of white. This highly depends on the strain but thats a good general rule of thumb. Also I grow Runtz, the Runtz I can assure you can use some more fattening.

Those are some very nice buds by the way, are you going organic, bio-mineral or synthetic? Theyre a bit fried from nutrients but I push them to the max too, perhaps not as much as yours but I certainly burn some tips.

Also are you chasing more of a couch lock high or high cerebral activity high?
If youre going for the couch lock: wait until most pistils are curled and theres barely any white ones.
If youre going for the head high: wait until most have turned orange and at least half are curled and a few whites are fine, specially if theyre only on the top of the buds. Top buds throw more new pistils because they have more light. And if they have too much light they might grow new bud on top of matured bud, something to be aware of too.

Thats how I would do it if I didnt have a microscope and based on what Ive seen inspecting mine with one. Maybe someone has a better method.

These are sour apple autos from Humboldt seed company. I must of bought a junk loupe, or my hands shake to much just can’t get a clear view. My old camera use to get better macro shots my new one not so much. Only my 2nd grow and hate to harvest to early. To be honest I don’t smoke, I just enjoy growing and give it away to my friends who do. Just a new hobby. I must be strange I smoked alot in my younger years but this new stuff just makes me so paranoid I don’t enjoy it. I do however like a 5mg gummy before bed seems to make me sleep better. I appreciate your advice. I’ll check them again this weekend.

Oh that nice actually, do you make your edible gummies or do you buy them? @GNick55 can tell you how to make them yourself but I think he is a bit bussy lately.
I know plenty of people that quited because of the paranoya and anxiety too. Perhaps you should try planting a 1:1 strain (THC to CBD ratio) or even a 1:2-1:3. When CBD is in the same ammounts or higher than THC it gives a very nice relaxing feeling but you need to find your comfortable place for THC thats why there's some varieties with same ratio, twice as much CBD than THC and 3 times as much CBD than THC. And they are not only CBD strains, only CBD strains contain usually less than 0,5% THC, these girls pack a punch with 5-15% THC but without the paranoya and anxiety. I know percentually doesnt look like much but then you have to add the CBD percentage so it gets up to 20-30% total cannabinoids in many cases.

If 1:1 is still too much THC here you have another one with more CBD than THC, tasty too.

The thing about these strains that contain similar ammounts of CBD and THC is that you will most likely (at least in Spain) wont find them anywhere else. Here in cannabis clubs they only have either THC or CBD, they dont usually have a strain with both combined. Maybe in dispensaries in the US is different but I doubt it unless its a big one or a special case, would be cool if someone could confirm this.

Here in the us, at least in Massachusetts I am starting to see a lot more 1:1 and things like that popping on menus lately.

I imagine that means they are gaining in popularity because you never used to see them. Like you said, before it was on or the other.

Glad to know is catching up! Many people cant benefit from THC and only CBD is not enough and those strains are clutch. Here in Spain you will only find them most likely in big cities like Barcelona or Madrid but I guess it will spread soon too. My best friend has hyperemesis syndrome, THC makes him sick, but he can smoke THC-CBD strains if the THC isnt higher than 5% and has a healthy ammount of CBD. So far its helping him reduce the dosage of benzodiazepines he takes to be able to relax or sleep.

LOL yeah some of my friends equate the marijuana now days to eating weak acid in the old days! I think the gummies I buy are 1:1 CBD/THC I get the 10mg and cut them in half. My buddies laugh at me and pop the 25 to 50mg like it’s pez candy. Guess I’m a light weight!

Hahaha its better to be a light weight! Specially with edibles. I know of people that did so many edibles and extractionts that their brain was fried and they couldnt even enjoy a joint anymore because of the tolerance. Some quited for good some quited for a while to reduce tolerance and were more careful with edibles and extractions. I mean weed has gotten strong enough, many "new" strains have more than twice as much THC as old school strains, I think thats more than enough hahaha. I did make a weed sponge cake this week but I cant recall when was the last time I did edibles, years ago. I think its okay from time to time or in lower doses like you but high doses... long term theyre devastating.

Hey anyone ever play games with popped seeds? Me and my 3 bud bros played up where if you had a seed pop in a room everybody yelled GRENADE and ran for the door. Outside you threw yourself to the ground.
Looser skips a round.
