Sounds like you did everything right…at some point it comes down to genetics imo…maybe it’s just not that stinky? I can say that I have not always dried as slowly as I’d have liked and never had an issue with lack of smell…to my point, I have an auto going right now called hellfire og…not much smell other than a sweet floral smell…a far cry from any og I’ve ever had, but she’s frosty.I'm not a newb as I have been playing around with cannabis cultivation for about 15 years. I've always lived in a non-friendly state so I never got serious. When I was under 21, I would grow about 4-5 photos a year in a closet or extra bedroom turned grow op, lol. I even made shatter a couple times, years ago. My point in all this filler is that I'm not newb but I am def still novice. I can veg and flower my girls like a pro, but when it comes to drying and curing, it seems to always be the fucked point. Enough background bs, sorry:
I grew 1 Sky Stomper 2.0 and 2 of the freebies (which are CDLC x Sour Stomper). I chopped Sky Stomper at 69 days based on trichome color. I chopped the other 2 at 71 days based on trichome color and pistil color. Swollen calves were noted also. I did branches instead of the whole plant. They were big clusters with all fan leaves gone and trimmed but not perfect yet. My drying tent was kept at 60-65f and between 58-63% rh. I have a portable AC hooked into my ac Infinity controller as well as a clip on fan on the lowest setting blowing against wall away from hanging plants. I kept the buds drying for 7 days, that's when they felt dry on outside but still sticky on the inner. Everything I read recommended 7-10 days in that dialed in environment. After I took them out of dry tent, I did a final trim and put the buds into grove bags and heat sealed the grove bags, as instructed by grove team. I got lil hygrometers in my grove bags just to be on the safe side. I check them multiple times daily, without opening bags of course. It's staying in the 58-62% rh range. All that being said, I popped open 1 of the grove bags, to check on progress. At that time, the buds had been in the grove bag for 7 full days. Oh, once I got all the grove bags heat sealed, I put them back in the dry tent and keep the temp at 60f and the rh between 60-65% rh.
When I opened the bag that had been curing for 7 days, it didn't have much smell at all. No hay or grass smell, just nothing really. I broke down a lil piece of the bud and it's not ready yet, and the smell is def there, just on the inside I guess. I am hoping that this is just the way they smell at this point of the curing process. I really hope. From what I can read and from my limited experience, I did everything like I was supposed to. My genetics are top notch, my growing environment was dialed in, my drying and curing regime is by the book, as they say. I know I ramble, but hopefully I made enough sense to get a helpful reply or 2. Thanks in advance guys and girls... Signed,

7 days?
Thats right when most in jar herb is going through terp changes. The nose can def be grassy at that point.
If it doesnt change and is the same at 3 weeks then id be a little bent.
But the. Again, id just make a concentrate or cook wirh it .
If it was stinky on stalk, it should come around given you are doing what yu said in the conditions you laid out
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. I know that 7 days curing isn't even close to being ready, I just got a lil worried when I checked on the buds. I sealed them back up yesterday and put them back in the dry tent with the 60f 60rh ish. I got a lil freaked out cuz I have over dried a couple times before and the taste was forever lost, smh. That was before I upgraded to what I have now. It def smelled good on stalk, so hopefully it will come full circle with the grove bags. Thanks for your time, I really do appreciate your attention. You guys have been extremely nice and positive. Such a refreshing site, Reddit should take some lessons. Thanks again guys and girls... JR7 days?

Its all about that 62% in hang, and in jar.Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. I know that 7 days curing isn't even close to being ready, I just got a lil worried when I checked on the buds. I'm a newbie, and had about a pound last year . And did ok. I got a small wine cooler . I want to get a much larger one now because It worked well. I live in a hot humid area and to get anything to 60 degrees is impossible without a refrigerator or it being December . I found that that really helped protect the smell and OMG the taste was pure grape gum!!! I kept it at like 58 degrees . Like after it was hung , then trimmed, I put batches in the wine cooler. I also added closet desiccant to the bottom. Like a flat damprid container . Just to keep the humidity in check.I'm not a newb as I have been playing around with cannabis cultivation for about 15 years. I've always lived in a non-friendly state so I never got serious.
