ok we will just cut though the BS

since I'm not going to drive the 2700k and 3000k Strips with this

Hlg-185H-24B
that was sold to me after I made sure everyone in the loop KNEW what i was using it for......

3 85w strips running at 2.-2.5 ma

So What do I buy to run these.... Straight UP

cause at this point i'll just hook them up to these 30w china drivers and run them under some stuff

ALSO what Can I drive with this Driver???????? Now that I have it 😒

TY

Ps hook a old man up Please Ty

Your HLG-185-24B was designed to handle up to 185W.

Your 3 85w LED strips consume 255W combined. Factor in a 20% overhead for safety and a properly sized driver would be 300W - 320W
(255w x 1.20 = 306W)

What is the forward voltage on your LED strips?

I was told that driver would be ok... I don't care if they run 100% at this point
Or I can just run 2 or whatever on it??? but it's the 7.8a I'm lost on ....
As I said I was told this was what to buy...

According to the numbers in the pics you posted, your HLG-185H-24B should be able to run those boards.

Your LED strips run on 24v DC and each consumes up to .9 amps. Your total amperage required to run all 3 boards at .900a is 2.7a. Your driver's output rating is 7.8a .

Your true wattage is 48w per strip 3 x 48 = 144w

144w x 1.2 (20% safety factor) = 172.8w

How are they wired? Pics would be great. Everything specs like they should work together.

there not hooked up right now
I'm moving in a room and went to run those of it...

so I'm ok

What dimmer should I get for it...

Same as my qb lights

As long as everything is in working condition, yes.

As for a dimmer, I'm not up to snuff on mean well drivers. My assumption is any mean well approved dimmer would work. From the pictures I have seen, they look like potentiometer style dimmers.

It will be something like this

I have 3 far red 18= 24w running on this driver
But I don't like the dimmer I got for this 1

I'm not really seeing a dimmer in your pictures. What in particular is it that you don't like about it?

There's what I need..

This is junk..

Just for clarity. The mean well driver you have is a constant voltage driver. Wire your circuits in parallel. For example, using 2 - four hole wago nuts, put each hot wire into the holes on the wago nut, then repeat with the neutral (common) wires in the other wago nut.
