Need Help: Deficiency Issue

This deficiency has me puzzled right now. Looks like Phosphorus is being locked out, or is deficient.

This is an outside grow. Temp has been colder at nights, but is warming up. The water is well water, PH at 7.0 before nutrients are added light, which lowers PH to 6.3 - 6.5. It's happening on the new/younger leaves. Thanks for any help.

Looks like it could be a Pdef..I would advise to bump up your ph closer to 7 after nutes if in soil outdoors..what are u using for nutes?

While I do see P-/P issues, those may be resolved when things warm up. In fact, the plant's whole posture is due to being a bit too cold IMO.

What I'm seeing on the newer growth is usually not associated with any P utilization problems I'm familiar with, and being as it is new growth that sort of rules P out. Its appearance looks like a disease to my eyes. I think you should scope it, hard.

yeah looks ike cold weather has locked up some P...when it warms up your plant will be fine, maybe give it a little B vitamin to help with some shock...other than that its just the cold, same way plants purple out in the fall because the cols, your plant is showing the same thing but in spring with no buds..the brown/purple will be from cold....last 3 nights around here were almost at the freezing mark, literally 2 degrees above lol, and yet today we got amazing weather @ 25 celcius

Try a foliar P spray. Wont get locked up because of the temps, if that is the issue. Otherwise your cation balance is off.

Thank you all for the input. Seamaiden, I will scope it asap, what disease could it possibly be?? The pots were sitting on concrete before I planted them in their rows. At night the concrete may have gotten too cold and locked up P in the soil before I planted. I started to add CaMg+ and soft nutrients (650ppm) to try and offset. I will begin to foliar feed as well.

The brownish red color makes me think of russet mites, but know that I've yet to experience them. I do experience plenty of cold temps (not Canadian temps) and I haven't seen that to this point. If it's been cold that's likely the main issue and so warming it up should help greatly, but I'd still scope just to be safe.

I have the exact same thing going on with my outside plants . Too cold for them and not taking up any nutrients . If your soil temp is fifty degrees or lower ..your plants basically shut down . Pray for warmer weather because its like fall out there in the North East and parts of Canada

Seamaiden, I checked... No mites.. BlackBart, thanks for the confirmation. We are receiving warmer days now, and I have noticed this has issue has gone away. They are growing nicely now. Thank you all for the tech input.
