From what I've read u need to decarb it firstI have 28 grams of 20% THC Cannabis.
Is there a proper recipe to infuse this one ounce of cannabis into coconut oil/avocado oil.
How much oil do i use? How do i infuse exactly? Do I decarb the weed first?
My ultimate goal is to make a strong oil to make gummies.
It says an 8th with 1/2cup of coconut oil or olive oilI have 28 grams of 20% THC Cannabis.

The recipes I've seen call for a half cup of unsalted butter which is 2 bars and an 8th to 7g of weed so a cup would be half so yes it would accept itTHANK you both so much. I appreciate it. My husband and I both have our own health issues. This enables us to save money while taking care of our health.
Follow up questions ...
my goal is numerous cannabis gummies, EACH having roughly 10 grams of THC (aka like a reasonable dose you'd get at a dispensary)
I have used a proper cannabis ratio calculator to learn 14 g or half ounce decarbed cannabis with nearly 20% THC INTO one cup of ghee will yield 60 gummies that each have roughly 10 mg of thc. In order to do this I need to add four tablespoons of butter into the gummy recipe.
Clearly if I make gummies there is a lot of other stuff in the recipe. Not sure if when I pour the recipe into 60-1 tsp gummies if they will even fit in there? Thoughts on this are very appreciated.
For those who have made gummies, does this math seem reasonably accurate?
Lastly I have weird concern that the ghee may not "accept" all the THC because it will get oversaturated, resulting in a waste of money. Do you think I'll be ok?
a lot of gummy recipes say "a third cup of cannabutter" or something but I dont know what their personal cannabutter strength is.....
thank you so much

That fiber must be working wonders.I followed a much simpler process on my last batch based on another member’s recipe. It’s a gritty experience, but I’m not eating these gummies for their taste and texture. I appreciate the simplicity!
Decarb cannabis in the oven (I do 35 minutes at 230 in my oven)
Grind VERY finely in an herb grinder (the finer the better)
Mix ground herb directly in jello recipe (I used the Magic Butter Machine gummy mixes)
Pour in molds and let gel
Pros:
No THC loss in the “extraction” process because you’re consuming the decarbed weed directly
No oil or alcohol needed
No need to spend time and effort extracting in oil or alcohol
Cons:
It’s a little “Gritty” when chewed…..so small gummies are better.
Edit: I added Lecithin too when mixing the jello.
Have never heard of the mixes and took a look. Yikes $20 a pack!I used the Magic Butter Machine gummy mixes

Yeah that would be considered a very high dose. In my state a single serving can’t be more than 10mg, with the entire package no more than 100mg. Obviously you know your tolerance level, so if you’re just making them for personal consumption no biggie. But that would probably put me in the hospital.I try to make mine as close to 100mg per "serving/treat). This is usually in rice krispy or brownie form. Roughly 2"x2.5
My homegrown weed isn't lab tested so determining THC content per piece is just an educated guess based on my experience dosing. Each piece is about 60mg, so the THC content of the trim I used was somewhere around 10%. When I make a batch I have to try one and then I can give a ballpark estimate. Same for brownies. I use my leftover pulp for brownies so nothing goes to waste. How much THC in each gummy?! I normally can get 96 gummies from a 6oz pack of jello. (1/2 cup water and 1/4 cup of carrier oil.)
1g (1000mg) * 12%THC * 75% (=>CDN) * 80% (extraction) = 72mg THC per gram of weed.
If I want each gummies to be 5mg that’s 96 gummies * 5mg ea = 480mg of THC/72 THC per gram = 6.7g of decarbed source material. Think you’ll have a 12% mass loss from the decarbing so ~7.5g wet.
You’re using close to 8x the material and looks to be about half the number of gummies (50 ?) So you’re making 80mg gummies? I know everyone different when it comes to edibles, so maybe you have a high tolerance. But that would be a strong dose if you’re sharing.
One of the things that pissed me off about California going legal with recreational is I could no longer buy 500mg brownies. When they went recreational is when they decided a single dose was 10mg and packages were limited to 100mg. We were much better off before Prop 64.Yeah that would be considered a very high dose. I’m always one for the more treats the better. My gummies are damn good so would eat them even if the didn’t get you high. But I guess eating 5 Rice Krispy treats might be too much. But on the flip side, if your dog ate one they might have a fighting change of staying out of the psycho ward. One of the things that pissed me off about California going legal with recreational is I could no longer buy 500mg brownies. My daily uptake is somewhere around 100mg. 60mg in edibles and the rest is my nightcap with a bong. For medicinal purposes, but with recreational value. I've had friends convinced they needed to go to the ER after as little as 40mg.
