How are you gonna keep the water cool? Above 70F your going to have bacteria issues/root rot and also low dissolved O2. I have thought about outdoor hydro but you would have to bury the system to keep it cool and even then you might need an chiller in addition to putting all the buckets and reservoirs underground.I 'm thinking about growing hydroponics outdoor in a pvc using gravity ,, and I need help and answers to my questions :
Does size matter in hydroponic grow ?
How much can a plant grow in a pvc system ?
Can plant survive outdoor ?
Should I use the non stop watering system ?
Should I stick just with soil ?
Thanks.
Thats a great point... Maybe use concrete of some sort to hold the reservoir? I know concrete can suck the heat out of anything lolHow are you gonna keep the water cool? Holy shit! Now thats a root ball lolThis is the kind of root mass you can get even with only 3 weeks of veg so outdoors where you veg for 2 months or more would need to accommodate a monster root mass:

That's a typical root ball for my hydro grow but I have seen better growers like @heisenbubble get even denser root balls to the point they have to be pruned. I would say I am an average medical grower but that is what hydro can do if you keep the water quality high and nute values consistent.Holy shit! Now thats a root ball lol
It amazes me how thick roots can get one they get past the net. That thick one wrapping around the bottom is huge. This is the kind of root mass you can get even with only 3 weeks of veg so outdoors where you veg for 2 months or more would need to accommodate a monster root mass:

If were showing off roots we need to see Heisen up in here. I have to admit, no matter how much it hurts me, his roots look like the bomb cellophane noodles.
