Hi i am thinking of buying a new light for my 1m x 1m x 2m grow tent with 400w hps light.I was going to buy HLG 260W RSPEC one of them for now and one more latter.Would 2 of the HLG 260W RSPEC be to much for my tent size if so should i get 1 Elite 360 led or some different setup?

That will work for sure. It will provide 29w/Sq.ft. Most say to run between 30-50W/Sq.ft. The colour spectrum is heavy to the flower side so it should produce well. This Led should perform as well as the 400 HPS you are replacing.

one of the HLG 260's is plenty for your tent. keep the driver outside of tent, and enjoy the temp/electrical savings!

Okey so if you need 30-50W/Sq.ft my grow tent is 1m2 or 9 feet and 4 inches so one 260W would be 27.5W/Sq.ft and two 55W/Sq.ft i could dim the light to 470W and then it would be 50W/Sq.ft.The other option i have is to get the ELITE 360 that 38W/Sq.ft but the coverage is not as good as the 2 hlg260w.

So should i get 2 HLG260w and dim the lights or buy 1 ELITE 360 but it got more blue light then 260w and a bit less red.

In my 4x 4 with CO2 I run this. It's dimmable so I can keep it a bit higher for more even light spread.

Horticulture Lighting Group HLG-600H Quantum Board LED Kit V2 Rspec

New Rspec Quantum Boards Available for Enhanced Flowering and General Use or Bspec for Primary Veg. Ready to Assemble 620 Watt Quantum Board LED Kits V2. The 600H Will Easily Replace Any 1000 Watt HID Using Only 620 Watts of Power Producing a Monstrous 1500+ PPF!
growerslights.com

If you want a diy budget, best bang for buck kinda thing. @Buzzer777 and @Mr.jiujitsu are 2 that I know of that could help

yea that a great light but what i want is a light that close to 1000 ppf with the best coverage for 1m2 and the shops need to be in EU or i have to pay about 200usd in tax and shipping just to get the lights from USA.
From what i understand anything above 1000PFF i need co2 so my option right now is 1 HLG260W or 2 and dim them or 1 ELITE 360 or some other lights. So my question is what setup should i go with for my 1m2 grow tent.

In that size space you might want two of the 260w quantum boards and get the model with the empty space in the middle for better spread. The drivers put out next to no heat and with LEDs you want your daytime temps in the mid 80s so you might want to have your drivers inside the space.

The option of having a second light and being able to dim will increase the efficiency of lights. My first grow was a 1m tent with a Rapid led DYI set up. I have 6 Vero29 3500k cobs with a Meanwell HLG-480H-C2100B . This set up was more then enough for a 1m tent. If you really want to be spot on buy a Par meter it make setting the lights so easy. I then move into a 4x4 tent with the same light and it produced well at 30 w/sq.ft. If you can afford 2 lights this will give you the most flexibility .

It looks like you all and me like the 2 HLG260W RSPEC with dim more then 1 elite. So my plan now is to buy one HLG260W to test the light and by what i know it should do great, then buy one more HLG260W RSPEC and this lights will still be good in a 4x4 if i buy one in the future .Thank you all for the help.

If your budget is not enough, check out the Mars TS-1000. I was using their SP250 for a grow. Cannot say it is the top notch light but worthy of the money.

The MIGRO channel on YouTube has tested both lights and the sp250 is actually more efficient than the ts1000, 1.6 vs 1.8 ppfd per watt I think. That being said the hlg lights the original poster is talking about are probably 2-2.3 ppfd per watt, so quite a bit better than anything from Mars and on par with the best LED lights out there.

It's of no concern and no thermo paste needed.

Yes, only from the shape, the sp250 looks better than TS 1000. I checked the MIGRO channal and found that he also sold LED. Why he tested other brands and said they are nice. That's weird. BTW, his own light looks mean.

HI guys yesterday i bought a watts meter for my 260w HLG RSPEC it said it dimmable from 135-285 watts on Todogrowled site.I tested my light and it only goes from 85-230 watts.
What i didn't see,is that in there description of the light on there site,it says the kit includes Mean Well HLG-240H driver but when you click add to cart the kit included Meanwell ELG-240-C2100A-3Y driver. So my question is did they gave me a cheaper driver?

Yes two would be too many. I have two of these lights in one of my 5x5’s but the XL versions and no they gave you the right driver.

Wow nice setup so the Mean Well HLG-240H and Meanwell ELG-240-C2100A-3Y are there same drivers in terms of power? Then why does the HLG main site and Todogrowled site have writen that the light max power is 285watts when it only 230 watts.

Thanks and i thought the 240H and the C2100A were the same. The 240 is the watts and the 2100 is the mili amps and HLG means dimmable i think. Look at my drivers above they say HLG-240H-C2100A and thats what you were supposed to get. You can always call them and ask they are very cool. Here are some different but similar drivers down below.
