I am currently in week 3 or 4 of veg. (Depending on when you count the 1st day). My buds are coming along nicely and I am noticing some pretty frosty buds forming! My issue is that I am having trouble understanding what stages my trichomes are in. I am using a 60x microscope and have a pretty clear view. The trichs all look cloudy to me which seems off because its still fairly early in flower. Any insight would be helpful! Thanks in advance.

I think it's just that it is blurry so it's reflecting light easily. You shouldn't start to check trichome colour for at least another month, every time you check you knock off some heads which will grow bigger if you just leaves them.
Plus the sugar leaves will change colour a lot quicker than the buds so when you start then check the calyxes.
This is the general timeline but obviously it depends on the strain:
The first 6-7 weeks or so is growing clear trichomes
Then over then next 4-5 weeks, they'll start to change to cloudy
Then they'll go amber.
But they won't all change at once.

Don't check the trikes on the sugar leafs, they turn way before the buds cloud up, always check on the bud

I am hopin so. It looks to be about a week behind on bud size and trich production. Not sure what I can do (if anything) to help it get a little bigger. I started using terpinator so hopefully that helps with trich production

I find that if the plant isn't showing deficiencies then it'll grow fine, no need for all these additives unless there's a deficiency.
