You said you use distilled because of the chlorine.
Save some of your distilled water jugs and fill them ahead of time with tap water. Keep off the lid for a bit and you won't have to worry about the chlorine. Then you can mix your nutes on feeding day and the water won't have chlorine. Also save you money if you're buying distilled.

I grow in soil also.
I filter my water through a Zero Water pitcher/filter. Probably not necessary but I feel better about it.

I've never once tested ppm, ec, tds, ph, or anything in the years I've grown and have never had an issue.

Growers get themselves in trouble trying to balance all these "measurements" and then end up over looking what the plant is actually telling them.
Keep it simple, watch the plant, ask questions, and you will be just fine!
