I'm super new to growing. I bought a light that was advertised as being 600watt led. In veg mode there are 24 10 watt led diode. In bloom there are 36 more 10 watt led diode. There's a total of 60 10 watt bulb. My question is how strong the veg switch is and how many seedlings I can have under this light.

Are you using this light JUST for seedlings... i wish blurple lights would be discontinued all together... this says 4x4 for veg however I realistically expect this to be good for 1 med size plant

Reading from the specs, it says the light draws 92 +/- 5 watts from the wall. All the "600W" marketing aside, it's a 90-ish watt light. 24 diodes is 40% of 60. If 40% of the diodes are powered in veg, that's 36W. You could start a lot of seedlings under it. A 10" x 20" tray would be no problem. If we figure 25W/square foot of canopy as a target for flower, it would be enough light to finish three to four square feet of canopy. A 2x2 or a bit less.

Thanks that helps alot. I knew it wasn't 600watt the ppfd was pretty weak. I have it 12 inches away from my seedlings and the ppfd is only 220. How close do you think I could have it to the plants.

I'm a bit of a contrarian about PAR levels, especially with seedlings. I run for the first month under a 2-foot fluorescent T5. It *might* be 100 ppfd. Watch your plants. They'll tell you how much light they want. Praying = more, please. Flat and level = happy. Twisted, taco-ed, edge curled, and anything else that reduces surface area = turn it down.

I think they look ok. If they start to curl I'll move the lights away. Thank you for helping me I'm super new to growing. 2nd attempt. I'm getting a better light in a couple weeks. A phlizon pl4500 qb led. It's a 450watt led I found off this app. Do you think that light could flower 3 plants. I'm thinking this light will only finish 1 plant right.

I think of it in terms of square feet of canopy, not plant count. You can fill a 4x4 with one plant, five plants, nine plants, or more. The variable is veg time. 450 watts is about right for a 4x4, hand-watering in media, without supplemental CO2.
