Welcome to the Farm

www.growweedeasy.com is a great resource.
So is this site
The 3 horizontal bars top left on the header. Clock those and navagate to forums. From that page scroll and look for diaries.
Grow diaries are lots of cannabis grows. You can then use the spyglass to add search terms like what strain you are growing or what medium choose like soil, coco or water hydro. Then look for entries that are long and are detailed. You can follow along as mistakes were made and fixed. Lots of great ideas and info in diaries and on grow weed easy.

buy a ph pen and learn to use/calibrate it. Lack of properly ph'd water can turn a great grow into a disaster if not corrected.

You'll want to get some ph up and ph down and some droppers to adjust ph.

tip: the higher the ec the more ph up or down you will need to change the ph of your solution; but go slow its easy to overshoot your desired ph

consider ph strips as a backup but they arent as accurate, and I dont really like them tbh. Theyll do in a pinch.

depending on the medium you choose to grow in you may not need to ph regardless of what your water reads,.
i grow using promix bx and i never ph nothing as the soil buffers the ph,.

I dont remember what it was like starting out the first time. My first good grow was done in 5 gal of happy frog and fed 1tbsp of 20-20-20 every watering during its stretch in flower(dont follow this schedule, my memory of it is "hazy", I could be mistaken). I didnt ph anything until the stretch stopped...I think..I dont keep notes, Im a vibes based gardener tbh. I stopped feeding when the stretch slowed but I overshot it a little.

Ive done the bugbee method as well, hydro is more involved with measuring ph/ec etc and if youre like me you'll be over fussing about nutrients/ph/ec a month or two into the grow.

If you do soil, when you transplant into a larger container do not "water in" the plant. Instead wait until the soil is dry(plant should still look happy) then water the soil in the container you are transplanting into. Dig a hole in the newly wet soil the same size as your plants rootball and place it in. Gently press the soil down around it and leave it alone. This will avoid "transplant shock" which I dont believe in lol. "Transplant shock" is just people abusing their plants without realising it imo. Ive never seen it when transplants are done properly, including in things like cucumbers that the entire internet claims dont transplant well(they do, its user error imo). I went from 6 inch pots to 10 gallon grow bags and the plants didnt show any signs of stress.(they will slow growth a little while they start grow out their roots, but not very much)

As for what you should do first time, I think soil might be easier for a beginner but I think you should get some input form @GNick55 or another well experienced grower. Im only on my second cannabis soil grow right now.

If you've never grown anything, something like build a soil or similar would be good for a beginner, imo. Get your soil going and there's very little you should have to add besides water.

Coco can work. I actually use coco, FF coco loco specifically. How were you planning on feeding?
