Hey guys , so i did some LST tying down branches , and very minor trim. now im just about in 3rd week flower and a friend working with me trimmed 30% or a tad more saying it needed to be done before 3rd week feed/flush. Aside from the Big mix of confusion , This will clearly shock the plants especially being when first buds were starting to develop . had a 4-5 week veg. was wondering how they will recover or if they will , and also just any information any1 can give on this would be greatly appreciated thanks :)

Look up "Shawazzing" grow technique.
This seems like the path you're heading down. They will recover as long as no other issues arise.

Cheers.

They will probably recover but you need to realize that the leaves are the source and storage for nutrients the plant needs. When you remove them, you remove some of the plant's energy production. If the plant is fairly big, it will often recover but the idea of a severe defoliation is controversial in most circles. I prefer to prune off a few select leaves that shade the bud growth points below them. If you are good at it, you can get the max amount of light on your buds while still preserving the energy production. Even snipping off a lobe or two on a leaf works to keep things strong.

The benefit here is you will end up with nicer looking colas and less popcorn bud.

The downside is it should have been done before flowering IMO if doing it at all. And you will likely end up with less overall yield.

They should recover fine but just don't overfeed them while they are stunted.

i agree with you all , my plan was to do a major trim "Lollipop" either right before switching to flower , or right after with each week a minor trim till end of 3rd week of flower , instead buddy kinda walzted in and did d it without saying anything ( buge issues arose from this between us ) regardless hah , that was my inital plan , but thank you for all the good advice and yes i wont be doing a major trim liike this ever again to it so late into flower , ill post more pics , did a feed and flush right after and honestly they are looking pretty good , only think that saved me was a late veg for late flower imo. thank u guys :)
