Hey guys,
Just wanted to say hi! I'm new here so I'm just looking my way around. I'm doing my first ever grow and I'm really excited, I'm facing an issue with my heater where it just turns off after 30 seconds and I have no clue why (says its still running) but this isn't the place to ask.

Much love <3

Hey lawsuit 👋 and welcome.

With things like coffee makers, heaters, ovens and things like that, it's likely that it is the thermostat that needs change.
Pretty easy fix if you're handy and cheap too if you can find the part.

But what are you growing? Don't keep us hanging.

I'm growing some Superbud, since this is my first grow I've planted 3 seeds, all 3 in different mediums:
1. Straight into the 5 gallon pot with a mix of 80/20 Osmocote African Violet / Coarse Perlite (From bunnings)
2. A jiffy from Mr. Fothergills in a little carboard container (idk the name those seedling starters)
3. Seedling/Cuttings soil mix in the same cardboard
I swapped the heater out for an older one I had and this time moved the humidifier too outside the tent which was probably the issue.

Hi Possum
Are you going going indoors or outdoors?
My brother goes to Brisbane 3 times a year. He doesn't know anyone growing there but says plenty of spots for guerilla growing.

I'm growing indoors! I'm in regional Tassie so there are a lot of spots for guerilla growing just the climate is... suboptimal, especially around winter. I bought a 3x3 AC Infinity kit and it's working wonders.

Great, it's a good hobby. I enjoy the growing as much as the smoking. Couldn't give it up.
Watch the humidity During flower. Mold is heartbreaking. You can get little thermometers that show humidity online for a few pounds.

I have I think about 2-3 sensors from ACI, 1's hooked up to the controller right now, I woke up this morning to a 18c and started freaking out and as i was grabbing the heater out of the tent I crushed a seed that was germinating... I still had 2 others thankfully.

I sent a message in reply but it's "waiting for moderator approval" I don't know if I said something blacklisted or not...

Welcome to the farm.
Without knowing about your grow and what heater you have I had a situation where the heater was doing that.
Turned out it has a tip over protection circuit that shuts off the unit when it senses a tip situation. It did not have a report of the event.
It is what we call a failure point by engineering as the defect is built into the unit. It should have a warning that the tip protection is active.
Securing the stupid box stopped this from happening. It was an ACI thermoforge.
We have a lot of experience and knowledge here on the farm and we can help with just about any problem.

Mine was an ACI thermoforge T7! I've resorted to my T3 for the time being

LoL man you got me.

I'm not even sure i'm in the right category myself 🤣

The Hypo What Now?? We would need a super magnification to see between to cotyledons and root!!!
You're doing fine 👊🏼
> A hypocotyl is the embryonic stem of a germinating seedling, located below the cotyledons (seed leaves) and directly above the radicle (young root)
Basically the hook/root. On my new post I posted a relatively zoomed in pic!
