Hey y’all, I have been practicing growing for the last year with some good ish results and not so good. These are my current ladies “slightly stupid” they are small but I feel like the buds are more dense than any of my previous girls. My question is, I have a date to harvest at January 18th, from more experienced growers, does that time line appear right based on these pictures? Thanks in advance

That's your call. They could be ready tomorrow or in four weeks. Nothing is locked in stone when it comes to harvest. Look up in the bud for a true reading. Welcome to the Farm!

Next grow in the beginning when your plant has four sets of big leaves take a scissors and cut the new tip of growth cleanly off. Then grow it for another month before switching to flower. You will have bushes then.

Seems like its gonna be close to the harvest time you say. I can see a few amber trichomes on the leaves but like very few. Trichomes on the leaves mature faster than trichomes on the buds, dont let the amber on the leaves fool you when youre checking trichomes.

10% amber on the buds = more cerebral high
20-40% = more couch lock
40%+ = your weed will taste like nothing and will only get you sleepy
Not true for all strains but its just a guideline.

Huh, never thought of that one, thats a good way of getting a taste without having to cut a bud, dry it and smoke the chlorofyl, suggars and other nutrients that get used during the curing process. That said, Im not sure it will reflect the same high as when its cured, when curing suggars and other nutrients are being used and more CBGA is converted into THCA, smoking uncured weed gives me a cerebral uneasy high that I dont like, but might be just me. CBD and CBG have a similar cerebral uneasy effect on me but for most people are calming, so I dont know.

Soooo I got scared and cut one down I was afraid it was going to be too ripe so I left it in the dark for 48 hrs and cut her down!!! I will say she’s extremely sticky and the entire bottom is so thick I could barely get to the sugar leaves to trim! My other one has more white pistols so I’m thinking another weekish. Funny thing is, I don’t smoke but my husband does so now I’m addicted to growing! I also make “butter” for cookies and bake them homemade once a month for him and his coworkers I figured I can grow a garden so why not still far from a pro but I’m loving the science behind it and the overall experience. I’ll be sure to post as I dry/cure and all that goodness ! Thanks everyone for all the great tips! They are really helpful for my next babes I’m going to start this coming week. Just need to get the actual plants bigger this time!
