New here! No idea what I'm doing.

Hello, still quite new to the whole plant thing... best I've done is kept some parsley alive during the pandemic (the other three herbs eventually died). Been playing around in this space for about three years... reliant on local resources and google... despite always getting some kind of yield at the end, the plants always look terrible and it seems to go bad around when signs of flowering begin.

I'm particularly looking forward to getting some help as I stumble around in the dark. I'm just not familiar enough to spot issues early and interpret the best course of action. That's why I'm here. Plus, I figured reading your experiences will help me too.

I'm new around here too. On my first grow in over 30 years. It has been a rough start but things are getting on track now. This is a great site for learning. Maybe a little too good LOL.

You will get a LOT of information. Sometimes it can be a little overwhelming and very confusing knowing which advice to follow. Taking the wrong advice can get you in a lot of trouble. Getting too technical with little experience can be dangerous.

The best advice given to me was to keep the first grow simple. Watch the plants and see how they grow. I have noticed things in this grow that I have never seen before. All my past grows have produced tall, thin plants. Never budding. This time around, thanks to help here, I have some really pretty bushes and I hope to see flower soon.

Thank you. I get overwhelmed when I google an issue... every problem has multiple causes and it's hard to know which way to go... which historically led me to just hope a problem resolves itself... it rarely does. I'm looking forward to some direct feedback from knowledgeable people rather than my random guesses.

Interesting. Mine are never tall... somehow also not bushy... no matter what, it turns bad around flowering stage... so far I've always got something to harvest but nothing crazy... by that point, the plant is usually on its last legs. Poor things. I'm hoping the good people on here can help me turn it around.

Growweedeasy.com is a great resource for new growers.

People here are pretty helpful as well.

You will get that here too. Many growing styles, many opinions on how to grow. Try to find people with your setup. Soil, nutrients, lighting, environment, etc.... People using the same things as you can tell you their exact experiences. If you cannot find that then you start to learn who's advice works best for you. Not that there is bad advice, but some things may not work for your situation. That will make sense one day

Welcome to The Farm! The best advice I got when starting out was to err on the side of "not enough," as opposed to "too much." And to give the plants what they ask for, not what I think they should have.

Welcome to the farm. I would recommend watching some vidoes on youtube. I watched videos randomly for a few weeks. The main thing I would suggest is to learn the nutrients needed through the lifecycle. Secondly, if growing indoors get as good a light as you can afford the first time. Entry level equiptment produces entry level products, in my opinion. Overwatering seems a big problem for newer growers. Cannabis plants don't require vast amounts of water daily especially in early growth. DeBacco University on youtube gives some good nutrient information.
