Hi folks, 65-year-old growing my second crop here in Massachusetts where we can have 12 plants between my wife and me.

It’s the last day of July and they are over 8 feet tall now. Thank God I’m starting to see buds.I grew them in 10 gallon bags of Pro Mix, with a layer of lobster compost, and then a layer of straw.

I’m wondering if there’s anything I should feed them with to encourage budding, or should I leave them alone?

Thanks!

Irfo

I just moved here and my monsters are towering over the fence I counted on, so I’m nervous. Guess I’ll be finding out how cool my (few) nabes are soon enough!

Come on big heavy buds! Hurry!

Just had to update. Over ten feet now. Amazing differences in maturity among the girls. Littlest is about ready to harvest. Biggest is barely budding. All germinated simultaneously.

Welcome to the Farm, from another old guy in MA. I didn't grow outside this year, but seeing your pics, I kinda wish I did!

Tarping your outdoor(photo) plants to simulate 12/12 lighting will advance your budding cycle. You can actually get two harvests outdoors in certain climates this way...

Looks good, man! Since you asked about organic feeding in flower, I will address that.

I use Neptune’s Harvest Rose and Flower (1oz/gallon). 4oz for four gallons per plant at this stage.

You can use a fertigation bucket with a bit of hose to get the juice where it needs to go. I shoot it straight into the root ball.
