Mine has always been inconsistent environment. Where I live there isn’t really a need for AC. My last drying the temps stayed around 70 and humidity was around 40-50. It dried too fast and smoke was in the harsh side.Looking good. And I saw you mentioned you just need to get the drying right this time. What is your plant this time around? I screwed up my drying last run and need to start figuring out what I’m gonna do this time. And what went wrong with it last time? I had a faulty dehumidifier that didn’t want to work properly. It brought rh to 30% for a day. I have a more controlled environment this time around so I’m hoping I’ll be ok.
Man, im going on my 5th year growing and i still have some struggles getting the drying conditions just perfect. Im always around 65f and 50-60% but for some reason the smells are never the same after cure. I really think im jarring 2 or 3 days late and i lose the terps from stuff being to dry. I always wait for stem snap but sometimes the buds are ready 3 or 4 days before the stems snap so im not sure what im doing wrong at this point.Mine has always been inconsistent environment. Unfortunately due to space limitations due to my nephew moving in with me for college I can no longer get the second tent I wanted to. So I will be wrapping up the back side of my room to keep it dark, and I purchased an AC unit. I am getting a second AC infinity T4 exhaust and controller to monitor my temps and humidity. I’m hoping to keep it around 60f and humidity around 50% the first few days and try and bump that humidity to 60% after that. These are all my plans and hope I succeed because they smell amazing and want it to translate over in the cure and smoke.

I definitely enjoy the hell out of growing my own crops, but the amount of work that goes in, is something i just never took into consideration when i started growing. Not saying the work makes it not morth it, i just wish some things could be a little simpler to get on lockdown.Man, im going on my 5th year growing and i still have some struggles getting the drying conditions just perfect. Trial and error. Gonna try to shoot for a solid 60/60 and jar when the buds feel ready this next time and see how it turns out. Gonna try it with a smaller fan too, like 4 inch because i think a 10 inch fan on low is still to much air movement.
If your space is a little bit on the dry side, like below 60%, waiting until the stems start to snap is a bit too far imo. My space is pretty dialed in now, but I still jar two or three days before the small stems are actually brittle. Usually go into the jar around 65-66% and cure down to around 60-62. If they are a little too moist after the first 18–24 hours, I just leave the lids off for a little longer for the first day or two and then burp the jars as usual. Obviously, you have to be careful about mold, but dialing in the cure is one of the most important aspects of getting the best out of your grow imo.Man, im going on my 5th year growing and i still have some struggles getting the drying conditions just perfect. Thanks for this man. My house is wicked dry usually unless its wet outside so i usually run a humidifier in my room with my dry tent just not in the tent to bump my room to about 60%If your space is a little bit on the dry side, like below 60%, waiting until the stems start to snap is a bit too far imo. Great information man! I don’t think I have enough jars for this harvest, I am going to purchase grove bags. Think imma do the same route just place in grove bags.If your space is a little bit on the dry side, like below 60%, waiting until the stems start to snap is a bit too far imo. Let me know how your experience with the grove bags go! Wondering about them for my upcoming harvest since I only have a couple giant mason jarsGreat information man! In my opinion, yes. Curing really slows down/stops below about 55%.Thanks for this man. My house is wicked dry usually unless its wet outside so i usually run a humidifier in my room with my dry tent just not in the tent to bump my room to about 60%
I find im always running about 50-52% in my jars so thats part of my problem i feel like for sure. If i could get that up 10% id be happy with the outcome i think.
So you agree im jarring 3 or 4 days to late right?

Let us know what you think of the grove bags. Not sure I would go into them at the rh I suggested tho. They recommend using a moisture meter on the bud and bagging at like 11% as I recall. No idea what % my actual buds would be at when I jar them. i just use in-jar digital meters. I would be happy not to have to go burp 25 jars of flowers this morning tho...cheers
They work well for me, I was skeptical of spending money on plastic bags but I gotta say they work better for me than my glass jars. After a while the stuff in jars dries out more than I'd like and the bags seem to be holding the moisture in them a bit better. I just received my second order from them so ya...I wouldn't buy them twice if I didn't like themLet me know how your experience with the grove bags go! Picking up some grove bags myself. Burping 20+ jars every day is for the birds man. My last harvest was just that, 22 jars. What a nightmare. Worst part, its gone already...... i need to take a break... so bad.Great information man! I don’t think I have enough jars for this harvest, I am going to purchase grove bags. Thanks for asking, I’ll be getting this one from Tavool. I still have some time to purchase and if anyone has any experience with other brands and find it reliable, feel free to let me know! What moisture meter you go with? That’s my next purchase.
