If they are photoperiod plants, when you put them out will have little influence on when they flower. They will flower when long nights trigger them. You can move them inside a dark enclosure starting in mid July, then you improve your chances of finishing because you initiated flowering prior to when they otherwise would.Right now I’m on an 18/6 schedule so if I put them out on Mother’s Day I’m kinda hoping they go into flower
I think Mother's day is May 11th this year and with rapidly shortening night periods/longer daytime periods leading up to the end of June, its possible but he's probably safe from going into flower in May. Hopefully so because the process of re-vegging takes both time and energy from the plant. Energy it could have otherwise spent on growing.Yeah! And if they are photo periods and you put them out on Mother’s Day and they start flowering then you’ve opened up a whole other can of worms that you don’t wanna deal with! Ask me how I know! Lol you want to make damn sure that you wait until you’re sure they’re not going to flower!
I've put younger plants (4-6 wks old) outside in my greenhouse around mid May. His are considerably more mature. That could make a difference. Never the less, its an easy thing to avoid. Just put an 8 ft LED shop light in there to provide for more light. Put it on a timer to extend day light. Problem solved.I’ve done it a couple times! Shows how dumb I am! And I tried to let them go and complete a re-veg under natural light! They just wouldn’t do it! They just kind of stalled out for a month and it wound up being a Mexican standoff! Even with 15 hours of light! I would go out there every day to look and the plant would say, fuck you! And I would say fuck you! Along about 1 July, I got tired of it! Executed them with some number four turkey shot! Made me feel better! But I had started some more and they came out fine! Just let these go to see what would happen!
Yep! And everyone’s experience is different, depending on your latitude! But you guys back east are in veg heaven! You don’t need to try and cheat! Better to just be damn sure and you will still grow trees back there! In my area, people were telling me! Don’t put them out before the first week of June! Don’t do it! I did it! But I won’t do it again!I've put younger plants (4-6 wks old) outside in my greenhouse around mid May. His are considerably more mature. That could make a difference. If you're set up in the basement to run a full grow cycle, I would keep some of those plants inside. It's kind of your guarantee you have something in the end. This is what so many new outdoor growers have the most difficulty with ... they can do everything exactly right only for mother nature to ruin it in the end.my head is gonna explode lol
My plan was to put some lights in and give them an hour in the morning and an hour at night Roadkill had me nervous with the amount of plants and the size of the greenhouse like I said I’m as stubborn as they get and I’m gonna try and see I’m sure I’m gonna have to adjust as I go
You guys are all very helpful and I appreciate all the feedback !!!!!!
Thanks Chucky. I’ll continue to grow my crappy weed till I die. I did start my own thread. Jimmie’s 2025 crappy east coast weed grow!Pick up all the tips you can from the people that grow in your area! Jimmie grows outdoors in Long Island! He’s pretty successful yeah I’ll throw him under the bus! Next time you see him posting somewhere jump in there and ask him a few questions! He’s a nice guy! Good guy! I don’t think he’s got his own thread, but I haven’t looked! He shows up quite a bit!and auto’s are a good thing to learn on back there! Gain a little knowledge and experience! Then when you think you’re ready, you can make the jump from the minor leagues to the majors!
Ouch! Chalk another one up for the East Coast! Thanks Chucky. I’ll continue to grow my crappy weed till I die. I did start my own thread. Jimmie’s 2025 crappy east coast weed grow!
Stubborn is sometimes just an ugly word for persistence. All successful people are both!I’m as stubborn as they come I’m gonna try and make this work if all else fails back to the basement !!
Where you are moving to, most people would consider the temperature hellish outside of the greenhouse!okay I read a bit, tried to quote the post but it didn’t come up.
leave them in the basement. if it’s not broken don’t fix it. I’ve been the number one enemy of my grows cuz I thought I was helping. Shit I ended up on here cuz I almost killed my plants by moving them into a hot greenhouse
I am doing photos in a greenhouse this summer fall, but I’m starting sativas in there now so they can be accustomed to the hellosh temps
didn’t dante say hell had layers?Where you are moving to, most people would consider the temperature hellish outside of the greenhouse!
Hell ? Warm beer and sleazy women. Line up for your tickets!didn’t dante say hell had layers?
Good growingI haven’t seen the moth yet that will refuse to lay eggs on a weed plant because it has a marigold growing next to it! But I guess it can’t hurt! Nice set up you have there! Knock it out of the park!hope you have a decent climate and a long season! And welcome aboard!
