You'll bop to the lingo soon enough, Daddy-o.Reading some threads get confusing with the lingo and abbreviations.
Even some of us non-brainiacs will try to help if we can.But more importantly, post a pic of your setup and your plants and the brainiacs here will help you out.
I did that with my carbon filter originally as well but had to move it and raise the light all the way to the top once the plants got happy. Here is my smaller setup- a 4’x2’ grow tent with spider farmer sf-2000 lights set to 70% (I just moved my plants from a GE 30W bulb yesterday).
I plant in fox farm potting soil and have their fertilizers too. I also put some earthworm castings in my soil mix. The black plastic pots are 13inches and the one fabric one is 7gal sitting in a milk crate. I have put “greenhouse shelving” on the floor of the tent to keep the plants elevated.
I’m hoping my plants get happy! I don’t mind moving it. I just set this up yesterday and will definitely need to make adjustments as I learn and they growI did that with my carbon filter originally as well but had to move it and raise the light all the way to the top once the plants got happy.
I did buy netting to try SCROG method. The ceilings in my basement are 70inches and it’s made finding a grow tent above 60in difficultLooks good broham.
Your height is going to be an issue, I would move the carbon filter to the side so you can get your light all the way at the top. You are probably going to need to do some low stress training and super cropping to keep the plants out of the light.
Edit: Braniac beat me to it.
Thanks for the advice! I wasn’t even planning on trying to grow any time soon but was given seedlings by a neighbor as a gift. I’ve been rolling with them since but in less than a month, could only come up with so much budgetUnless you get a bigger tent you should try autoflower plants in the future grows. They typically don’t grow tall, but they can get pretty bushy. You might have better success with those in that environment. Good luck. Enjoy the hobby.
