We are here friend. Welcome to the farm. Why don’t we start with the space you can use. Or are you planning on growing outdoors? Write a bit about your ideas/budget and I’ll help. I love helping people get set up and if your dealing with pain, let’s get the medicine flowing. Also Go to forums and click search forums. Ask what you want to know and odd are you will find lots of info.
I have chronic pain issues and my aunt gave me a clone of a high CBD strain. I've got basic grow directions but trying to figure out the details.

Also make sure and click “quote” and then below “insert quote” that way it will alert who your taking to.

I've got a pretty low budget, but already have basic potting supplies, a grow light that should still work and fertilizer galore (my aunt is a gardener so basic supplies are at the ready).

I'm leaning toward setting it up in the bathtub we don't use. It would be real easy to run a line for the light and it's got great sunlight during the day. We don't use that bathroom much so it never gets humid. I think it's too cold in the garage and I don't trust the wiring to run a heater unsupervised overnight. While I live in Northern California, it's still to cold for it to be outdoors, even my greenhouse is dropping to low 50s at night.

Hmm.. bathtub. I used to grow however I could with whatever. Still do, except i have at least some proper gear now.
So you have the light. What is it? Fluorescent, HID, led?
What kind of fertilizer is available to you?
Do you have a duct fan or any decent way to take air out and bring air into the space?

The grow light I have is florescent and probably 15-20 years old. I remember it being there when I was in HS but it may be older. I've got a $200 budget that came with the clone and hoping to get a new light. The bathroom has a window and fan. At home we have all the EB Stone fertilizers, most soil amendments and cow manure. My aunt has a wholesale account at several nurseries so I can order what I need through her.

Neighbors nearby? Tub will work. Put a wire rack or milk crate in there to sit her on. As for the flourescent if it’s that old it at least needs bulbs
new ones.
You have a room. An exhaust window
it’s probably tiled or at least waterproofed.
Be sure to bleach everything first. Water rooms are fungi breeding grounds. I would hose all wall with neem oil after cleaning. To keep bugs out. You don’t want bugs. $200 budget til? You can probably start with what you have. You will want more light.eventually
One plant I would just throw a cheap led purple over it. Just make sure it covers end to end good. You can pull a 300-600w purple for less than $100 now days. Is this clone rooted?
Do you have a window or exhaust fan?
And you need circulation in the bathroom too. So little oscillating fan ( cost almost as much as the light for decent one. ) most don’t move air n the resins clog em up n freeze em in s couple months in flower. They won’t spin no more.
Fabric pot too if you got access easy.
Go with real good draining soil. Lot of perelite. It requires little more often watering but you won’t get rot. Nutes go easy. You got good soil you won’t need nutes til near flower time.
If you got neighbors or smell concerns that instantly adds $100 to start for carbon filter n duct fan combo. It can be don’t. I started from ground up. Built my room n all. For less than $500. That counts a $200 seed order and the $70 soil I used actual light walls nutes all that was about $250 but I did a lot of work to save $ the whole design saves money And disappears into the wall if needed. But you can def do it. List what you got as far as the neccessary department we will fill the blanks. Hopefully under budget. I think you can. How many bulbs and length is this flouro ? T5
t12? Watts?

Ya that floro will do great for vegging plants but not so great for flower. If you shop careful led is an option with your budget. Also high pressure sodium and metal halide is a good cheap way to go. Especially if you want extra heat. I payed 100$ back in the day for my first 400 watt hps. 50$ for a 150w his yard light. Got a couple 400 watt metal halide shop lights given to me free when a company changed em out. Led s are cheaper on electricity tho and run cooler. But can get pricey. Check this out. Ordered 2 of these splitters for 9-10 bucks a piece on amazon. Locally, 800 lumen 9 watt led bulbs where on sale. Had a couple 1500 lumen ones around as well. Ended up spending 40 bucks for two of these lol. 145 watts total

BE careful using cow manure. I can vouch for this first hand as I have a ranch.. Make sure you use the older manure NOT fresh! Fresh has too much ammonia/nitrogen and will burn up your plants. Try to use seasoned manure that's been sitting outside for at least 6 months.

While I live in Northern California, it's still to cold for it to be outdoors, even my greenhouse is dropping to low 50s at night.

If it doesn't get much colder than that, you can actually grow in those conditions. Usually what happens is you'll notice the leaves turn purple/bluish in color from the low temps, other than that I haven't had any problems growing in temps like that, and we get really cold here (Colorado). I'm sure some will argue this, but I actually spent last winter in Brookings, Oregon, and I'm fairly certain I could have cropped out there if I had a greenhouse. Now Brookings has the Chetco effect, which makes it unusually warmer than most of the area in Southern Oregon, Northern Cali, but if you were to put a small space heater in your greenhouse, just enough to keep the temp above 40 at least, you would be ok. IDK, just some input from a cold weather grower.. Hope this helps, good luck! I wish the best of success for you and your CBD!

Yeah I have a multi head like that I’m running 24w led flood bulbs Phillips I’ll get pics. I pop the plastic frosted bubble off. 2700 k and ridiculous bright. But I have burned spots on plants if they get too close. One of these bulbs lights whole bathroom like outside in bright sun. I paid about $20 for a 4 pk if the bulbs at Walmart. They are 100w eq 24 true watts each. I got 2700 for flower spots. but they have other kelvins too. Which technically are probably a lot brighter looking than the 2700k s I got.

having humidity issues
real low
But that trash 5 head snake light with the leds puts in work though.
You can see where the colas are definately stacking in the spotlights quicker than under all the other light. Now it could be the combo overlapping making more useable light in those areas. But it sure looks a chit ton brighter than those more expensive leds around it. Look at the back where the 5 head is compared to the hlg QBs and purple led across the rest of it.
Didn’t mean to blow the thread with flower pic but point is you can definately make a $9 head and these bulbs rock that place.

Love it!

Merry Christmas! Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I've decided to go with growing in soil, but haven't decided on a location. It seems to be pretty happy (in just a day I can tell it's happy :p) in the kitchen window with full sun most of the day. It can live there a while longer. I'm looking at getting a clip on lamp tomorrow and get it potted. I don't imagine it can live in just the rock wool much longer, roots are already sticking out.
