Hello fellow canabis growers,
I have been growing hydro for a little while and have been trying to find a way to bulk up my buds. I currently have 5 pineapple chunk plants growing in an ebb and flow set up with CO2 supplementation at 1200 ppm. I keep the temp at 75 degrees with a controller which has helped bud bulk some what. Will upload some pictures soon. Any suggestions are appreciated.

u sog or any training ?
I have FIMed, and poorly tried to lollipop but that's pretty much it. Its hard to determine what to trim off with my experience. I also tried supetcropping a little.

to start off they look great real good

my tips would be u could hit a lot of the bottom stuff of that will plump up the buds on the tops

then your walls are crazy dark color and with that the light gets socked up in to the walls and turns in to heat
rather then bouncing off and returning back on to the plants

also can I get a pic of the bottom of the plants

o and id stake her up before she plumps up and waste time building thicker stocks to hold your nugs

Sure thing. I do have a tent but found it's hard to work with the plants in it. I figured if the light was close enough and bright enough it would work out. These are clones BTW.

think its working for sure but think how much more u would be getting from light that is all ready there

also the plants look a lil bunched on each other id spread them out just a lil do u have a fan in there ?

Yep fan blowing on ocillation. I could cover the walls with reflective material or get a light mover.staking would be tough on the ebb and flow tray..no medium to hold the stakes. Maybe some posts to the side of the tray.

I drill holes in the top lip of the planter and use something like bread ties and hold it all down then tie stuff in to its self

here is a old pic
and the walls could even just paint it white but id go with a reflective material get more money out of your lights

I'll let you know what to trim off. The bottom of the plant is what you want to trim off. Basically look at the plant and the parts that aren't getting light EX. The lowers 20-30 percent of the plant.

There are a lot of methods to doing this.
1 top down. Select the prime bud sties and strip everything below that point.
2 bottom up. Start from the bottom of the plant and strip everything up to a desired point.

Your plant will be super effective if you can prune away some of those branches possibly selecting 11 keepers and removing all the lowers besides those few.

Honestly it's up to you and sometimes leaving is the way you get a really high yeild. On the other hand if presentation is an issue. You will want to adopt one of these methods for sure.

Honestly brother you got a great plant going I would say roll with it and you can mess around later on. :)

Those marks are from what I can see you would want to prune off. Go from bottom up to those marks below those lines not much light and those buds won't be the greatest.

Hope this helps.

And when I say strip it really strip it. Shave their legs everything the bud sites the leaves. Everything but the main stalk and the branch your pruning you want to remove.

I'm always afraid I'm going to trim off something productive. Your advice is greatly appreciated. In going to work from the bottom up trimming popcorn off then still some eyelets and spread it open a bit to allow more light on.

I'm all over it. Thanks so much for the professional advice.

Yes sir when I do it usually right when I flip. Then maybe again 2 and 3 weeks into bloom. When you do it at first you will get a lot more freedom to over do it bc the two week stretch will bring a lot of fullness back. That's when you may have to go in a second time. When you prune the bottom the growth goes up. Also the bottom of the plant is where disease and pests are. Lots of reasons to get rid of that stuff.

Go check out this grow journal dude did an amazing job lolipoping. I'm gonna tag you in the thread.
